^^^beejive messenger is AMAZING and it will keep you logged in for as long as you tell it to. if you run it with backgrounder it will alert you as well and is an AWESOME app. give that one a try. its expensive but its worth the price to me. if you use messenger like me...grab it in the appstore.

It is a great app. I didnt think to use it with backgrounder, Im gonna haft to try that. hoe is it on the battery when doing that?

I am on BeeJiveIM all the time with backgrounder and I have not noticed any major issues with the battery life. I guess it does not drain your battery as much.
