It's not news. (and it's last weeks news)

You have a 200gb transfer limit monthly, only .6% of comcast users are affected by the new caps. That's 99.4% of users unaffected. You'd have to transfer 7gb per day for 31 days straight to hit the cap limit and there's no way in hell anyone is going to do that.

The new caps are for people who are using comcast to run their personal file sharing servers to feed sites considered "relatively large" with movies and music leeching over 7gb a day.

In other words......... this cannot affect you.

Sorry drama queens, nothing for you all to get hissy about. You couldn't hit 200gb transfer a month if you transferred your entire library up to your server and back down 5 times a day for a month straight.

/useless cap limits for the masses.

My library is 87.56GB
And my daily transfer is about 3GB. Still doesn't affect me though.

seriously, i read it was 250GB (does it make a difference?) lol That is A LOT of usage. And anyone using that much is most likely not doing legal things with it. So that's fine with me

I download my fair share of content, but rarely ever have I even come close to 100GB

In music mine is 168gb, add video and it's about 180gb, but the majority of people will never get even close to that. .....much less transfer it.

If you're seriously moving 250GB of traffic monthly, they should just go ahead and arrest you because there's no way in hell you can claim that's being used for good means.

I mean, seriously, if you take out torrents/usenets/downloads, how could people use 250GB monthly without doing anything illegal? Even streaming/movie/store downloads aren't that intensive.

But if you have a relatively large family and a wireless router and a ton of wireless devices, then you need to think about usage. Comcast sucks.

well its not always about doing things illegal.

i run several things on my network,
VPN-so i can easily assist people i know
(and to monitor a few nieces)

personal website

3 laptops, 2 desktops and 10 users (also running dc to manage)

so wheres the illegal part in that? but its true,250gb is a hell of alot of data to pass, and i dont think with as much internet i use i still dont come close, lol
