PLEASE HELP w/ SSH via Cydia.......

I downloaded open ssh ( I want to try my hand at transferring via ssh) from Cydia - boss and an ssh icon does not appear. Is there something I am doing wrong? I did restart my phone....

For me ssh does not have an icon on the springboard. Once you dl it you should have it on your phone. Not sure about the boss apps. Can someone confirm this?

There is not an icon(at the moment) for the openssh. Once you install it. It is just there.
The way to find out is go to your terminal on your app and type in
Use your ip address on your iphone where the x's are.
Code:
ssh root@xx.x.x.x
Then type in the password "alpine" with out the quotation marks.
Note: When you type in the password you will not see it when you type it. Don't worry, it is there.
Presto. You have officially ssh'd into your iphone.

If you want to change the passwords, after you have typed in the password the first time. now type
Code:
passwd
It will ask you to type in a new password. please do so. It will then ask you to retype your password. Please do. Now your password has changed.

So next time when you want to ssh into your device, type in
Code:
ssh root@xx.x.x.x
Now use your new password.

PLEASE NOTE: If you make any changes on your device such as add files or whatnot. When you are finished you will have to restart your phone in order for them to take effect.

Also, not sure about the boss prefs with a switch. I do not use that app.
