I read a fair amount of the forums and see questions flying all over the place, with a follow up question of what version are you running and what do you have installed. Would it be easier to create these few extra forums inorder to understand the functions of each version modified?

I am currently running 1.0.2, with the constant production of new apps developing and the unlocking of 1.1.2, it is hard to tell if certain apps will function properly on my iphone. I would find it easier to discuss amongst fellow 1.0.2 owners to see if problems occur with them or what functions would work better, etc. Is this something that others would agree with? I realize that my case isnt presented very well but the over all idea to unify and discussion working with the versions could help us as owners. Can the admins make this happen?

I have recently got my new iPhone on o2 in the UK which has 1.1.2. It has been activated and all working well. I do not have any intention on using any other network and purely just want 3rd party apps.

I have been hunting round all day and can't find a definitive guide for UK phones. I'm not a technophobic but the simpler the better.

Has anyone with a UK iPhone completed this successfully? Is there any loss of features?

Any info would be gratefully received. P.S. I have access to a PC (Vista) and Mac (Leopard).

The follow up question is whether one can still follow the instructions and use all the applications specified in the guides here to unlock iPhone 1.0.2 and iPhone 1.1.1, and virginizing iPhone 1.0.2.

I think you could greatly simplify the navigation experience by altering the .css so that:

1. link for thread and link for poster (in the thread list) are shown horizontally instead of vertically so you don't click on the poster by accident.

2. Page numbers font should be made bigger and perhaps moved to a better position.

3.deactivate the phone using any deactivate programs, only so i can see the dashboard nothing else (no apps installed and no sim free done)
4.Resync iphone back to computer
5.Update to 1.1.1

Will my phone then brick??

or will i still be able to get to the dash board ? if i can!!! i can then run the anysim 1.1.1 and boom im running 1.1.1 but if not ? will i have a bricked phone??
