Issues with Dock Skin/theme

Hi,

i loaded a couple of themes from here on my iphone (copied them via cyberduck in the summboard, themes folder) and they work, but i never get the dock graphic/skin to work.

Do i make anything wrong? Which graphic file from the theme folder is for the dock?

Question, i have installed the above, no problems there, i dropped in the LCars icons and sounds. Where the sounds all appear to work the Icons do not get replaced or rather some are and others are not, Any suggestions?

[GUIDE](OSX and PC) Putting themes on Summerboard Manually

-This is a guide for Mac and PC

-Your iPhone must be Jailbroken and have SSH and Summerboard installed to continue

-If you do not have your iPhone jailbroken you can find the guide to doing it here: Click

-(OSX)I am currently using a program called Cyberduck which can be found here: Click

-(PC) You can use a program called WinSCP, which can be found here: Click

If all of this is completed here is the guide:

1. Go to your iPhone settings>General>Auto-Lock make sure it is set to Never (This is just precautionary to make sure nothing goes wrong)

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

2.Go back to your iPhone settings>Wi-fi, then click the arrow next to the wireless network you have selected. The IP address there is the one you will need to access your iPhone.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

3.Open Cyberduck or WinSCP:

(Cyberduck) Click the "Open Connection" button in the top and you should get a window that looks like this:

(WinSCP) Fill out the form as such:

Hostname: iPhone IP address ex. 192.168.1.123
Port Number: 22
User name: root
Password:
1.0.2 firmware password is = dottie
1.1.1/1.1.2 firmware password is = alpine
Private file key: LEAVE EMPTY
Protocol: SFTP

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

4.We are now directly in the iPhone:

(BOTH) You will see 2 folders: Library and Media.

-Double click library

-Scroll all the way down to the Summerboard folder and double click it.

-You should see a folder named "Themes"

*IF YOU ARE HERE SO FAR SO GOOD*

5. Take the folder of theme you have downloaded and drag it into the "Themes" folder:

(I am using this (click) great theme by Turner, for this guide.)

-You should get a window that shows download progress

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

6. Restart your iPhone and you will be able to pick the theme from the Summerboard selection menu.

Ok so what do you all know about the use of customize and summerboard under 1.1.2? for me Customize does not even run, shows the chicken and returns to springboard. As for summerboard so themes seem Ok and others are creating problems, hanging, etc.

Anyone have a better way to rearrange icons on 1.1.2?

status bar for signal, carrier, hour and battery

in 1.0.2,
i notice that the status bar for the homescreen and for the apps is the same one but different for the lock screen. the lock screen would be in the black status bar while the signal, carrier, edge icon, wireless icon, hour and battery icon would be in white color. while the homescreen and the apps would have a silver status bar with a blue signal, blue wireless icon and green battery icon.

in 1.1.1,
i have the same black status bar (with white fonts and icon) for the lock screen and the homescreen while the grey statusbar and colorful icon will only be in the apps menu only.

my question is there anyway to bring back the grey statusbar and colorful icon for the homescreen same as the apps menu in 1.1.1?

any pflist that i have to edit to bring back the grey statusbar to the homescreen?

Adding Themes and Icons w/ WinSCP I Need Help!!!

Need Some Help,
and in return I can Sleep.

I have a jailbroken 1.1.1 iPhone. I use SSH to transfer all my files to and from my iPhone.

I have tried and tried and tried to put Themes, Battery Icons, Carrier Logos, and Bar Dialers onto my iphone using SSH.

I am Running Windows and have tried using all the other iphone apps to transfer the files and i have found the only one that really works for me is Winscp405.exe

If any one knows how to successfully add Themes, Icons.... using Winscp please email or send me a message on Yahoo.

To go into the problem deeper i will explain what i have noticed when adding the files to my phone.

Note: Not all the themes and icons I tried form this site failed. Just most of them did before I gave up on trying. A lot of the threads or posts on this site explains what programs to use to fix my problem. but none of them tell you what do to or change after you install that program. I Know that Winscp works great for my setup.

THEMES: The theme files installed off of Installer.app are arranged different than the ones you get from this website Example: all of the icons have there own folder and instead of the icon name being calc.png the folder is named calc and the icon inside the folder is named icon.png

Battery Icons: Some of the Battery Files would show up In Customize as all the Icon States. 0%-100% Icon images would be shown under the section where only one Icon would be shown for the other batteries.

Bar Dialer: I backed up my default dialer file and replaced it with the new file(s) but it never took effect after restarting my iphone.

I know im putting these files in the right place. I just have a feeling most or some of the files are in the wrong form or they are incorrectly named or labeled. I have experimented with some of the files by renaming them trying to see if it makes them work but no success.

When i change a theme, all the icons change, but the photos icon doesn't.

I am from holland and i have the dutch language on my iphone, so i renamed all of the icons to the dutch names, and everything but the photos icon changes to the theme icons.

I am using summerboard.

Can anybody please help me with this?Cause i can't find a solution anywhere!

I have been modding various phones for quite sometime now. Most recently I have been doing a lot of modding on Windows Mobile based pda's. I'm a moderator over at 4winmobile.com in the BlackROM section. I started out my modding days over at the good ol' modmymoto.com. So, modding phones is like second nature to me. However, this iPhone business is a little different world...but I'm quickly picking up on things! I have already jailbroken my iphone and installed the app installer. I have tried a few different summerboard themes built into the installer. However, I really like a lot of the themes posted on this site. I was wondering how to transfer the files from my pc to the iPhone. I have iDemocracy 2.0, iBrowser, and I tried another program. I was able to view the file system with each software, but I didn't see any means of creating new directories or transfering files. I was wondering if someone might be able to point me in the right direction. I have searched both this site and google without any results. If anyone could help me out I would really appreciate it! I have done quite a bit of searching, without any luck. So please don't flame me! lol I do know how to use the "SEARCH" button, it just doesn't like me.... :D

I need a little help please. I downloaded the Fire battery image by Jesse (nice work) from the download section here. I am using iBrickr to try to get it on my phone but am confused (no surprise). When I navigate to the system/library/core services/springboard.app I see the batteryBG #.png files. But the Jesse files are not titled batteryBG #.png, but rather Firebyjc #.png. Do I need to first delete all the numbered batteryBG #.png files and then rename all the jesse files before downloading them to the iphone with iBrickr? Also, there is an unumbered Firebyjc file titled Firebyjc.png -- which Battery file does that replace?

Today i've upgraded my iphone to 1.1.2 after all thing fine. I've used Keyboard-Latin.artwork and Keyboard-Common.artwork to patch my orginal 1.1.2 keyboard on Aqwoah Keyboard 1.1.1 patch without backup.

Too bad new artwork not worked on my 1.1.2 iphone. it's showing a scrap key and bad image, I've tried overwrite backup 1.1.1 keyboard but it not worked too. Now i wanna to backup the last file. Anybody have 1.1.2 keyboard two file please send me (dny.love@yahoo.com)

Can't copy new keyboard file using WinSCP

Hey, I'm using WinSCP to transfer files to my iphone, and I'm trying to copy a new keyboard skin to my phone, which consists of Keyboard-Common.artwork and Keyboard-Latin.artwork that are supposed to go into the /System/Library/Frameworks/UIKit.framework/ folder.

I made a folder /stock on my computer to put the two original files into, then I copied Keyboard-Common.artwork to my iphone successfully, then when I try copying Keyboard_Latin.artwork I get the error:

Copying files to remote side failed.

and under more info it says:

General failure (server should provide error description).
Error code: 4
Error message from server: Failure
Request code: 6

it happens at about 4-7% progress and it happens everytime, I've disconnected and reconnected my iphone to my WiFi and everything but still no luck.

Any ideas?

EDIT: turns out i had WinSCP in SFTP mode not SCP, so i thought that fixed the problem, but now the progress goes all the way to 97% or so and then aborts because it says there's not enough disk space left. I have plenty of space so that's not the problem....

EDIT 2: Apparently total disk space doesn't reflect amount of System File space?
Cause iTunes says i have 2.43Gb free, but after i deleted some stuff, the file finally transferred.

How exactly does the iphone distribute system disk space and stuff?

1) I jail broke my phone
2) I have installer app
3) I installed Summerboard 3.0b1
4) I have downloaded a few themes
5) I goto summerboard and set them
6) I hit home, the phone restarts, but it looks the same

nevermind, i manually restarted and it works

I took a screenshot of my home screen, blurred it in Photoshop (radius 7), brought it back into the phone and set it as my wallpaper...voila, instant glowing icons.

1. The normal screenshot.
2. The blurry version.
3. The blurry version applied as wallpaper.

The effect is especially cool when scrolling from left to right. The icons seem to float over the blurry background.

big problem with theme using summerboard

I installed SummerBoard,
tried to install the Bleach Theme (downloaded it from this site)
When installed, only background was changed,
didn't bother with it so reverted back to normal theme..

decided tonight to give it another go.
choose bleach theme in smbprefs again yet
now i'm stuck with only the background,
no icons, the word "ipod" in the upperleft corner,
clock in the upper middle and battery indication in the upper right corner

Home button does nothing (double click lets me enter the Ipod)
all my icons are gone, i can't do a thing :(

how do i revert back to the default theme?
can I manually install/reinstall summerboard? Or adapt a preferences-theme-file or something and let it point to the default-theme again?
(i can still connect to my iphone through openssh and WinScp)

Hi I just found some really cool battery icons in the Download area and I want to replace with my default. Can someone give a newbie step by step. My iphone is jailbreak 1.1.2.

I attempted to use ibrick and went into /System/Library...and started to replaced batteries 1-17. But when I rebooted the phone, the new battery icon didn't change, what am I doing wrong? the battery that i choose is Duracell Ultra thanks

Just a quick (and somewhat pointless) question;

How does the iPhone resize badges (the dots that appear to alert you of a message...). I ask because when creating mine I decided to go for a simple dot - but I realised that I only needed to create one image - and then the OS would resize it when needed (ie; a higher number), usually the image would elongate and look terrible, but somehow the phone does it differently.

I am trying to download a bar dialer to my phone using Winscp. I just can't figure out where to save it to. When I'm at the root menu the only folders i have are ".svn, Library, Media, .DS Store, & root.zip" I think I am suppose to save it into the "applications" folder (applications/mobliephone.app), but I can't find it. I've already saved into "customize" (customize/dailer) but when i launch customize on my phone there is not way to set a custom dialer. Can anyone give me a hand. It would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

custom dialerpad help needed

Hey everyone

I'm wondering if anyone has a solution for me?? I have a jailbroken, unlocked iphone 1.1.1

I have been trying to install a custom dialpad. I put the files "DefaultDialer" and "BarDialer" and whatever other files that are included with the custom skin etc into the MobilePhone.app folder and reboot the phone.

Problem is when I go to use the phone, the new dialerpad image comes up only for a second then flips back to factory default image and stays that way. The files are still physically there in the MobilePhone.app folder but it always comes up with default dialerpad. I have this exact same problem if I try and change the calculater background. Even if changed with Customizer!

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

**********Nevermind!**********

After accidently deleting a few files out of the MobilePhone.app folder, I bricked the whole thing! I could start it and reboot it but nothing would happen when I touched any icons on the screen so I restored firmware and the first thing I tried was putting custom dialerpad and voila it worked like a charm!!! If anything, I hope this helps someone else. Thanks!!!

I have a problem with the themes for summerboard installed via the installer.
All the themes i tried to a nice cusomization to the desktop except the phone icon. It allways remains in the original stylez, while the other icons get customized.
Do you have an idea, what could be the problem?

Hey guys, I have just had my iphone unlocked, and, I was just wondering, since my phone is unlocked, is it safe for me to download and be able to get some new wallpapers and ringotnes, or is it only for AT&T iphones?? I am new to the whole unlocking thing, and not sure what I am allowed to do or not do with the unlocked phone?? I don't want to download something, and then somehow lock my phone again or something to the effect??? custom battery meter problem

I made my own battery meter with all 17 images and they're all the correct size and name, it even shows up in installer. But when I activate it, it only shows when the battery is fully charged for some reason. I can't find the directory in my iphone where these images stored for the iphone's direct use, so I don't know what the problem is. Help?

I unistalled 1.17 and tried to manually drop the files of 1.13 that I got from googlecode but when I do that the program does not work properly. The file I dlwd from googelcode has some files outside of the Customsie.app & rSBT.app folders. I do not know where to put these other files on the iphone. Im using Vista and WINSCP. Adding New Images To Customize How?

Ok I have the newest version of customize and i have gone and downloaded some charging battery images off here. I open up iphonebrowser and copy the folder into the customize folder area where the other folders are for it. I can see the new image in customize on the phone and can select it but it just does not change over for some reason. What am i doing wrong or is this not how to do it?

Hows it going? I upgdated my phone to 1.1.2, and I got everything to work, summerboard, customize, and other stuff, but I just cant get a custom bar dialer to my phone and I put it in the mobilephone.app folder and I replaced the defualtdialer.png, but it doesnt work(well actually it comes up in the right hand corner of the phone and then dissappears and goes right back to the default bar dialer). Heres the one i want to put on my phone. Thanks so much Guys:)

I want to download some of the cool themes I see here on the Download page but Im not sure how to get them on my phone. What do I have to do after I download the themes I like to my computer? (how do i get them on to my phone?) I've never really downloaded themes, I've always just used the themes that are available through Installer, but the selection is really limited. Dialer Keypad Screen Name and Location?

In the document I located it indicates the dailer keypad file is located in /applications/mobilephone/ and is called bardailer_set.png. I am running 1.1.1 and accessing using winscp and do not see that file.

I am trying to replace default dailer with mario party dialer but can not figure this out. I have replaced icons, weather, wallpaper, etc but can not get the dialer.

This may be related but when you down load a customize set where are those files? I can not locate that folder as well.

Yesterday I erased all my 3rd party apps, themes, (u name it).
And did a fresh new upgrade from 1.0.2 to 1.1.1. So far everything good.

Just before I made the update I saw a new Louie Mantia theme released
with a more winterish twist to it. I have no idea wich repository it came from
and I have been adding sources and searching all day to find it again.

Does anyone know where I could get it again?
It was a gorgeous! Louie Mantia (...something) was the name of it.

OK...I already know I can sync with itunes...problem is I have a computer at home and one at work...evertime I sync i presume that itunes syncs everthing all over again at the same time...which is kinda dump...i would like to know if there is a software that I can upload different pics to my iphone...i use ibrickr for mostly everthing but i cant find were my picture files are...maybe I can upload it through there but I havnt been able to find exact location of picture files taken with camara....ok guys any suggestions would be greatly appreciated....

My friend showed me this mod that he had on hit iPhone. Whenever he took a picture with the camera, the camera shutter image/media looked really different! I asked him about it but he did the mod a long time ago and doesn't remember the filename, directory, nor the site he got it from. He said it was a transformer theme! i think the file might be under MobileSlideShow.app. Has anyone ever modded this feature? Where can i find this file, and the directory to put it in????? Sleek Icons with reflections

I've been on for a few hours now today looking for icons that look real nice. I know that narrows it down to every theme on the site, but I've been looking for icons that look like the attacthed files. They are 3D and have reflections. I don't know where to find them and I really want them for third party apps such as customize and all. If someone can help me I would greatly appreciate it. I suck noodles at photoshop so if you know where to find them, or if you have some that look like this, or even if you could make some taht would be great! :)

my carrier logo was simple 21201 with numbers, i used roaming on other country TMOBILE MK , and there i tried to change tmobile's logo with customize but nothing happened, so now at home even i don't have tmobileMk network i still have this logo on my phone, when i search for networks it shows my home network and others i click on 21201 but logo remains same tmobileMk.
anyway to change back to 21201

I have to restore my iphone 3times when i've tried to download new themes there oh my god. just remove hightymes.org/iphone-schnapps/index.xml away from your installer before ur system loop over times exec script.
There is a manual way to add new themes to your summber board/iswitcher via WinSCP

1. Download your summerboard themes here or iswitcher here
2. extract all the zip file you will have new folder like this:
for summerboard:

on WinSCP your iphone go to folder: /var/root/Library/SummerBoard/Themes
Copy themes (the folder named themes) you like there ! Open summerboard and take the rest !
for iswitcher:

Go to folder : /var/root/Media/Themes/
Copy folder .thm there then open iswitcher chose ur new themes and take the rest ...

sigh ... this is the final round for me then ... no have to restore again lol !!

Need help with Customize, rSBT and Summerboard

I'm running 1.1.1 and have downloaded and installed the latest version of Customize.

However, I have the following problems:
1) Optional keyboards, SMS received tones and carrier logos (which are stored in the appropriate Customize folders) do not show up, when I select them -- it keeps reverting to the defaults.

2) The order of the Icons that I set up within rSBT in Customize, doesnt seem to save -- it gets saved in some completely random order that I cannot seem to find a pattern/logic to.

3) When I try to download Summerboard themes directly from AppSnapp Installer, I get the message : You need to install Summerboard before installing this theme -- but I've already installed the latest version of Summerboard!

4) On the other hand, wifi logos and signal bars seem to load up fine on the iphone, when selected through Customize.

I know I'm just missing some minor tweaks - could someone please help me walk through them? Thanks much.

Help on ISWITCHER

Ok well i finally got iswitcher installed, and I really wanted this theme:

Problem is that it isnt on installer.app, so I have to install it manually...does anyone how to do this?

(mainly wanting to change docks like iphones)

i was sittin here lookin through all the themes and such.. and i thought.. i think it would be a good idea to have contest or somethin between certain users just for fun.. like give them a theme like girly, or sports or somethin and let them create themes in a certain amount of time and we can vote and decide which we think is the best.. and whoever wins.. can have some privelage or somethin or decide the next weeks theme or w/e or just know they made a better theme that week.. iono.. anyways what ya think??

any ideas on this?? just tryin to bump a lil sry..

is there any way someone canmake a version of black jain dim darker. Kinda like plain jain dim came out they just made plain jain which was more opaque. So basically a darker black. I would really really appreciate it! Thanks!
