Carrier Settings 1.1.2 Help!

hello everyone,
i've tried searching for methods to enable carrier settings working on my t-mobile (USA) phone unlocked to 1.1.2 firmware. so far the only guide i have found is listed below from http://www.modmyifone.com/forums/showthread.php?t=17185
Has anyone been able to get carrier settings working on their phone? i tried the method below and it doesnt work for me...i'm not sure if i am doing something wrong in the editing process tailored to t-mobile settings. i plug in my att card and carrier settings show up, but doesnt work for my t-mobile. anyone can help?

Carrier settings *optional* (For those who wanna sexy up that iphone )

- Winscp to your phone and put ls and bash in /bin
- Click on "more", set both permissions to 0755
- Check here for your carrier's MCC and MNC (it's not as hard as it sounds)

e.g MCC = 334 MNC = 02, the number we'll need is 33402

- Open the Telcel.plist in UltraEdit or wordpad and modify accordingly (Don't forget to rename your .plist file & change the supported sim section)
- Use winscp to put the modified .plist to /System/Library/Frameworks/CoreTelephony.framework/Support/
- Open putty and connect to your phone
- Type bash at the prompt
- Type cd /System/Library/Frameworks/CoreTelephony.framework/Support
- Type ln -s NUMBER YOURCARRIER.plist

e.g ln -s 33402 Telcel.plist

- Remove your sim and put some other sim in it to reset the carrier settings(maybe that unactivated att simcard lying around? )
- Remove the sim card and put back in yours after the phone detected it
- You should be set, no reboot needed

Like the title says. I now have 1.1.1 firmware and no longer using 1.0.2 and I'm having issue with changing my carrier it just wont change when I try to do it with customize. I tried to do the ibrickr and upload the springboard file from the 1.0.2 to my 1.1.1, but it made my iphone crashed and I had to restore my iphone. Anyone has the new springboard file so I can upload it with ibrickr and change my carrier icon. Thanx to everyone

Hi All,

I was using iDemocracy 2.0 and accidentally click on the 1.1.2 VM Fix, and as a result, 3 files were modified without me having a chance to back them up.

Can anyone share these 2 files from a North American 1.1.2 installed iphone?

/var/root/Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/preferences.plist

or alternatively, is there a way to extract them from the restore .ipsw?

How can we boost the volume on recently upgraded and unlocked 1.1.2's?

i've seen files around the forums for 1.1.1's either under iVolume or under a diff name, but they say that it wont work for 1.1.2

now that most of us have made the upgrade to 1.1.2, has anyone changed those 2 files (strings) to boost up the phone/speaker/ringtone volumes that would also work for 1.1.2's?

Running firmware 1.1.2. On 1.1.1 you were able to add "International" tab and select "Swedish". This give you swedish support incl phonelist sorting with Swedish characters. Anyone have an idea if it is possible to modify some file to enable Swedish in 1.1.2?

[Help] Need help modding Passcode screen

Ok the first thing I tried to change was the text the pops up when you enter a wrong passcode to say "Access Denied" and the second thing I want to disable or remove the funtion that when you get the passcode X amount of times then you have to wait X minutes before you can enter again. I want increase the amount of times you have to get the passcode wrong before the delsy kicks.

I hope some of this made some sense

UPDATE : Ok I have change all the visual components of this "hack" but I cant for the life of find the string I need to change to I can change the ammount if incorrect passcode attempts before the timer kicks in. any help would be greatly appreciated. thx

How to change months' names

I'm just interested: have anyone discovered allready how to change month's names? It was fine for me when in 1.0.2 they were in English, but now in 1.1.1 when I set region format to Ukraine, it writes months' names in Russian? Any idea how to change that?

I upgraded my phone from 1.1.1 to 1.1.2 yesterday and everything works besides the part as to when i get a phone call from a person thats saved in my address book my phone doesnt pick it up as a contact.. instead of the phone reading 1(***) its reading (***) when the phone rings so it doesnt pick up my contacts in the address book......

Is there a file mod to fix this???

saving Sketches In Finder app..please help

hey there fellow ifone modders. i was trying to find a way today to save a sketch that i have drawn up in my sketch application. i know you can set your skethes to save the drawing/note for you so it will be there next timeyou open the app but is there a way to create a new folder using the Finder app and put all the sketches you have drawn up in there???

changing the iPhone new words database

Hey ya'll,
As you might have been able to see the iphone remembers the new words you type in and it includes them in its T9. However, it seems impossible to have access to this list thru the iphone. So this one freaking work i once mispelled but that I "validated" by keep on writing now keeps reappearing whenever I type the word correctly (its a spanish word).

Anyone knows where this list is located within the iphone shell drive?

I know iphone will learn from my type ...
But i want to earser this Dictionary dabatase, to try learning from the begining.

i found 6 file in "/root/system/libary/keyboardictionary/"
i think it for "suggets corrections word".

it have GB = global, UK = england, FR,DE,IT
many other country need it ...

i tried to modify but nothing happen.

Hi.

I need some help..

Is it possible to change the "black/white" background on top (where the wifi, edge, battery and provider icon is located)?

When you open the Service App, the battery and signal icons are green , the background is light.

Anybody know how to change? I searched the Forum, but didnt find any releases.

Having checked the appropriate files and folders (System- Library-Core Services-Springboard app.) I can't seem to locate any M68AP.plist!!!!
Am I doing something wrong? Do I need this plist and if so how come the phone is functioning without it??

Block EDGE without Services App?

Is there a way to block EDGE without using Services? I was thinking of a way to maybe modify the actual network connection to EDGE or something so its permanently blocked unless you restore a firmware. The reason I want this is because Services seems to turn EDGE back on if and only if I currently have edge off and I execute the services App and close out of it. Then I would have to go back in turn EDGE off then exit out. Thanks. Im sure the people who complained about services app not working for them will find a fix after this

I live in bermuda and there is no setting in time and date time for my country is there any way file mod it into there. as of right now i have the time zone set to boston and time and date to bermuda time so my sms and emails incomg are an hour behind in time stamp

Add Custom Home-Button Double Tap shortcuts

By editing:
Home Button.plist in /Applications/Preferences.app/
and
Home Button.strings in /Applications/Preferences.app/English.lproj/
(Both above files available edited in the attached zip file)
I was able to result with the folowing

This SHOULD work as the camera choice has
com.apple.mobileslideshow-Camera entered.

BUT when you do use it the value in /private/var/root/Library/Preferences/com.apple.springboard.plist
for doubletap is gone and there is no longer a key at all.

Can any help me figure this one out? yes, you can manually edit the com.apple.springboard.plist file and put whatever you want. But it would be soooo much better to just have it in the menu as if Apple wanted you to have the freedom to choose which app.

Anyone???

EDIT: Just wanted to add that this is on a 1.1.2 phone, jailbroken. I have a mac, win, and linux machine, so I'm open to ANY ideas.

Freeing up Disk Space for Applications

Hey guys,

I'm going to try my best to not sound like an idiot, so here goes...

I absolutely love what the MMi and other various iPhone modding communities have done to enhance the iPhone experience. I have fallen in love with all the additional applications available; however, since I finally upgraded to firmware 1.1.2 I have been running into serious issues concerning hard disk space. I just installed the Gameboy Advance Emulator and a few other various applications and am already running out of disk space, which unfortunately only lets me have 1 or 2 GBA roms at any given time.

Enough about my woes and on to the nitty gritty:

I have read a few forum topics that outline how to cross the barrier into the portion of the memory reserved for "Media". Even after reading a few different topics, I couldn't figure out the best method for crossing the barrier...

I'm not a programmer (no real knowledge of programming), but I have and am willing to SSH (on my Leapord MacBook-- CyberDuck, AFP/iPhone Finder) or use any other method that has step-by-step directions.

All I want is to know what the best method to expand the disk space for Game Boy Advanced and NES Roms on my 8 GB Firmware 1.1.2 iPhone using my MacBook.

Well, yesterday I messed up my iphone very bad.
I read a tutorial on how to change the carrier logo, Im running an 1.1.1 unlocked (anysim) iphone. So the tutorial said I had to replace my springboard file with a patched springboard file, so I did it, but when I rebooted my iPhone, it freeze up in the apple logo screen and stayed there, the springboard didn't start. So I found on the net the original springboard file (I didn't backed up the one from my iPhone), so I put it on the iphone and it turns out that the springboard file I downloaded is the one from ipod touch, so all my icons are like ipod touch, so the SMS and the Phone apps don't appear on the springboard, and I can't install apptap from jailbreakme.com because I had it before, but it disappeared like the sms and phone apps, so I dont know what to do, can you guys suggest me something, or upload the original springboard file for 1.1.1?? I will appreciate it a lot, thanks!!:)

Folders for the spring board?

Ive been wondering about this but is there any way to create accessible folders on the springboard that you can put apps in? Say you have alot of games. Can you make an icon for you springboard called games, where you have all of your games in? When you click on it it opens to reveal your game apps? As far as presentation, it wouldnt have to be crazy but say you click on the games folder and it opens to another springboard that just has the icons to your games? Possible?

Hey all,
I had a little free time and was rooting through my iPhone's folders with WinSCP and I came across a fun little plist.

With said plist and a little hackery, the following can be achieved:

A fake, albeit convincing, restore image:

Fooling iTunes:

Real iPhone Snapshots:

I promise you, none of the above have been doctored in any way other than to remove sensitive information.
This is extremely easy to do:

1. Making the fake firmware file:
All you need to do is take any large file and zip it, then name the zip file to "ipsw." For my screenshot I took the 1.1.1 ipsw, renamed it to zip, unzipped it, then rezipped the new file with a lower compression in order to obtain a larger file size, and finally renamed it.

2. Modifying the plist on your iPhone:
SSH into your iPhone and navigate to "/System/Library/CoreServices"
In this folder, there's a file called "SystemVersion.plist" which is what we edit. That plist looks something like this:

The two bold values are what you need to edit. Apple iPhone firmware numbers typically follow this sort of format: #X###x ("#" being a number and "X" and "x" being upper- and lower-case letters). For example, 3A109a is 1.1.1's build number.

3. Taking fake screenshots and distributing them:
Reboot your iPhone and plug it into iTunes, which will see it as whatever firmware you set it as. Now you can take screenshots of iTunes, of your fake ipsw, and of your iPhone using the snap utility by Erica Sadun. Now all you have to do is send a few emails, and you're world famous for having cracked Apple's databases, stolen partially-developed firmware, and jailbreaking it :) And when everyone starts yelling that you Photoshopped the images, you can honestly say that they're completely real.

Restore System Sounds

So, I installed the new version of Costumize (1.18) and I changed my unlock system sound and the main slider image. When i was at the process of aplying the main slider image, the phone froze and rebooted. Now I can't restore the unlock sound. Can somebody guide me into restoring this?

Visual Voicemail on Other Carriers

I posted this on the 'Other Carriers' forum but I thought it might be more appropriate here.

I am using an iPhone on the Optus network (Australia).

I was having a look through the Optus website today and saw that they have a Voicemail Direct option that looks a bit like Visual Voicemail.

When you enable it (for $3.50 p/m), it allows you to download a Voicemail Direct application for some Nokia 68XX phones.

There's a guide there on the Optus website, and when you click on it, a manual for Symbian Visual Voicemail is pulled up. In that, there is instructions on how to set the server etc for visual voicemail.

So there has to be a setting somewhere in the iPhone's system files to define the visual voicemail server right? If we can find that, and match it up with the Optus one, it should work?

It would be cool to figure out. The implementation can't be that dissimilar to the Symbian one?

I just don't have the know-how to do it or even look into it :S

HELP with M68AP.plist - I broke Customize

I was trying to mod my M68AP.plist to hide icons, since Customize 1.17 deleted the hide icon tab. I did as the thread said:

I made a backup of the file first and then modified and uploaded it to my iphone. No dice. And I noticed it rearranged my icons. No biggie I thought. Just put the original M68AP back and should be fine. Nope! My Customize "Icon Display Order" doesn't work. Rebooted, uninstalled and re-installed Customize. Same deal. When I click on "Icon Display Order", it justkicksme back out to home screen.

Help much appreciated.

Black Keyboard.

Hello. Does anybody know how whether the keyboard that appears when adding a source to installer.app (and also a few other times throughout the OS) is a new design or whether it is just a transparency or effect of some sort (like when a message pops-up and the corners vignette)? - I ask this becuase that black keyboard looks amazing in comparoson to the original.

I understand that you can modify the keyboard yourself - but this seems quite complex, also the ones that are available from others just don't cut the mustard in my opinion.

install Tinyproxy on ur iphone

create a wireless network in ur mac an assign IP 192.168.1.2 to the airport

set proxy to 192.168.1.1:8080

connect to the mac from the iphone and assing static ip 192.168.1.1

netmask on mac and iphone = 255.255.255.0

Hey all, I was wondering if anyone has been able to change the functionality of the side buttons. I want to use one of them to take a picture, and the other as a home button. I read someone was asking back in July about changing them in iPod mode and noone had an answer, but I'm looking to change them globally which should be much simpler.

dock app screenshot query

since installing the screenshot app..the screenshot feature in the dock app no longer sends my screenshots to the camera roll..anyone know how to resolve this? i want the screenshots to show up in the cameraroll again..right now it's just saving 1 pic in the /tmp folder and if i take another it overwrites it..any ideas?

heeey guys. i recently installed the finder app, and the terminal vt-100 ap and i noticed that when i went to youtube i could view the featured list but whenever i go to the search tab and search a video it says " cannot connect to youtube". after this my wifi connection started to disconnect itself and switch to EDGE. so i would go into my setting wifi and try to connect to my lynksis router and it wouldnt let me, but after i try a few more times it will connect me back to wifi. is this because i installed those damn applications or just from using wifi all day long?

In Call Speaker Volume

Has this happened to you? You're talking on the phone and it seems as if the volume is too loud for its own speaker and it sounds like vibration or static when ever it gets to a loud point? For instance whenever I turn up the volume in call, the dial tones sounds as if its vibrating the speaker. Even when the other person talks loud, it sounds like this again. I'm just wondering if this was normal?

But to test it, make a call to anyone and turn your volume up high. Listen to the dial tone, does it seem to have a vibrating sound or almost a static kind of sound. I noticed this when I reach to about 10 clicks.

Go to Installer.app then hit the Productivity folder

Install the file manager "Squid"

Go to your SpringBoard and open Squid

Go to the Applications folder

Choose the applications that is needed to be fixed, in my case it was CallD

Open the file that is named after the application (it is the name of the aplications most of the time)

Then, Lastly, make sure that your green boxes are checked the same way mine are checked and then click Apply

Bypass Sonicwall Virus

I have a 1.0.2 iPhone, and my school wifi is protected by the Sonic Wall Virus software. So, when I'm connected to my school's wifi, I get a "Please Install Sonic Wall Firewall" whenever I try to access any websites.

Is there a way to bypass this? Someone else with an iPhone at my school just got his out of the box, and it doesn't get the sonic wall message.

I need to turn off edge as i'm not signed up for data plan, and i have the new iphone 1.1.2. Tried the service.app but its not quite working on 1.1.2, i noticed that edge automatically kicks back on coming back from standby mode...thanks for ur help !

I may not be very wise in selecting the correct Forum to post this in... MMI has my mind cluttered with crazy things that when I go to type a freaking post, I can't figure out the correct forum.

Either way, I just recently jailbroke 111 and I'm needing help with hiding icons I don't want on my springboard. I have three pages to scroll through now and I'm getting sick of it! lol.

i visited the uk 2 weeks ago and tried a o2 uk sim, when i sent texts and made phone calls it showed my current balance after, i found this a nice feature and i really want this, i setup carrier services but this did nothing, is their a way to make it show your balance after calls and sent texts?

my phone works, it gets a signal (i used iphonesimfree long ago and it still works with 1.1.2) what doesnt work is my keypad and my sms programs crash.. so i cant make phonecalls or recieve them..

in summary this is what I have to do.

In case you are located in a country where the iPhone is not officially for sale. To "fix" this you need to hex-edit AppSupport? and replace an official location with your location. For example if you are located in Belgium then replace "fr/33" (offset 0xA0AC) with "be/32". After this patch MobilePhone? will no longer crash. The two last values on that line are "ISO code" (2 chars) and "ITU phone code" (2 or 3 digits). Open AppSupport? in a hex editor. Go to offset 0xA0AC. Overwrite the two chars "fr" with the two chars of your country's ISO code. Go to offset 0xA0B0. Overwrite the two chars "33" with the two (or three) chars of your country's ITU phone code. copy patched AppSupport? back to (overwrite !) : AppSupport? is located in

/System/Library/Frameworks/AppSupport?.framework/

3. make Proximus_Belgium?.plist (I used the Orange_France?.plist with plist-editor to create this one after changing data in it for simlink, APN etc.)

copy it to : /System/Library/Frameworks/CoreTelephony?.framework/Support/

create the symlink for Proximus_Belgium?.plist :

go into iPhone with SSH (have BSD subsystem on iPhone!) and issue following 2 lines:

cd /System/Library/Frameworks/CoreTelephony?.framework/Support/

ln -s Proximus_Belgium?.plist 20601

So after updating my phone to 1.1.2 I have a blank blue square instead of an E icon by my carrier. This is annoying for obvious reasons. As I do not know of anyone else having this problem I'll solve it for myself, I just need to know where the icon is located so i can swap it with an older version.

i installed some Vietnamese Fonts, then restart my iphone. it freezes in the boot screen with apple logo and a running-cycle icon. it restart after 3-4 mins. then froze again and again. cannot boot to the main screen.

i thought i could try to RESTORE iPhone SYSTEM FONTS.

here it goes. i changed the carrier setting for a friends iphone to orange and all the setting in there went ok. but at the top it says carrier_services and not orange services. also i think the caller id has messed up somehow when i phone from the iphone to another mobile it only displays the phone number from the iphone and not the persons iphone name who is calling. i need some serious help guys.

hey guys..
just wondering if you can help..
I just bought an unlocked iphone with firmware v1.1.1
now.. since I'm gonna be using the phone is Aus, i tried to install AUS number format, by uploading a couple of files using iBrickr..
Then when i tried to start it, it froze.. it kept freezing with the white apple logo..
But the PC could still read it, and iTunes could detect it too,
then i thuoght the problem was the two files i uploaded so i deleted them with iphoneBrowser,

then the problem got even worse.. now it still freezes with the white apple logo, but what's worse is that now the computer can't detect
it. Nothing happens when i connect the phone to PC now.. iTunes can't detect it, iBrickr keeps saying 'plug iphone' same with iphonebrowser..

What can I do....?
I'm just LOST since computer can not read it..
I can sorta tell USB's still working as the iphone (white apple logo) lights up when I plug it in (then it freezes again..)

Is there ANY WAY to fix this????????????????

What I used (and works):

Method:

Pair your headset, make a test call to see if it works. End the call normally.
Dial *#307#, press call.
Press the answer button twice with 2 seconds delay in your bluetooth headset (If you don't do this correctly, you will continue to listen the ringtone in headset)
Press answer on iPhone.
Press the home button, do NOT end the call.
Open iPod and play a song, you won't get sound from iPhone, nor headset.
Once it is playing, press the home button.
Open phone.
Dial 0, press Call.
It will ring again, answer.
Press audio source, select your headset.
Press home button, do NOT end call. (we're almost there)
Open iPod and play anything you like.

Shorter Way:

*#307# Dial, press the bluetooth headset button twice.
Answer on iPhone, press source.
Select bluetooth headset.
Press home button, open iPod, play anything.

Now, you will get iPod playing through your bluetooth headset.

Cons:
- Cannot receive calls

adding icons to dock

i accidentally removed my icons from the dock leaving the dock there but no applications. under display order in customize, how do i add applications under dock? right now they are all under spring board and when i try to move them to the dock, it will not go? Does anybody have an idea how to get them to the dock?

I just upgraded my phone to 1.1.2 and jailbroke it via the TouchFree method but when I loaded up Installer, there was no option to install Summerboard........

Anyone know why its not showin up?

(I did do a manual install but was just wondering why its not listed in Installer)

i juz registered and juz got my iphone. HOpe i post it in the correct section.

Anybody knows whether is there a way to stream and watch crunchyroll on the iphone.
Youtube is set in iphone directly and cannot change any link and trying crunchyroll via safari shows some error which i encounter before using PPC but an addon resolved the error in PPC.

So wondering whether iphone can watch crunchyroll as i want my anime back ... :D

iPhone currently has a very small list of countries in its address book. about 61
while most of us may not notice the difference, some might find this a bit irritating. some major countries are missing, e.g. Korea

I have only tested this for one day on 1.1.1. Address Book still works fine.
I have only added one country, not sure if adding more will be a problem
I sync with iTunes, and address in OSX Address Book syncs properly, have not tested this with Outlook Address Book if there is one.. not sure
No one else has tested this... so good luck

you need OSX, or at least something to edit a plist file in windows

(1) Files needed : first download 2 files from you iphone
/System/Library/Frameworks/AddressBook.framework/ABAddressFormats.plist
/System/Library/Frameworks/AddressBook.framework/English.lproj/Localized.strings

(2) open ABAddressFormats.plist with your property list editor in osx
you will be able to see a list of countries
check out the format of different countries just to get familiar with it

(3) add a new country
next.. i select any of the country, press 'New Sibling'
it will make a new item
I decided to add in 'Malaysia' so i rename the 'New Item' as 'my'

(4) set 'String' to 'Dictionary'

(5) add details of the country you want to add
i click on 'my', the arrow that points to the right now points down
you can see that the button above changes to 'New Child'

just add each child one by one by referencing the country closest to what you need
the first time i added this, it did not work out. it added 'Malaysia', but it only gave one field in my iphone, which is 'Street'

i'm not sure why
the second time i repeat, i copy and paste each field from another country. not sure what i did wrong the first time. but now it works. do confirm with me if it works just by typing. i must've mispelled something.
now it shows properly with 'Street', 'ZIP', ....
by the way.. i also added 'State', since Malaysia has different states, but it is not reflected below, coz i added that later. If you want to add State, then
URL_FORMAT = Street, City, State, Zip, Country

(6) edit Localized.strings (not sure if editting this file is necessary)
rename your Localized.strings to Localized.string.plist
open it with property list editor
add the country you want as shown below. not sure if this step is necessary

next i observed that there is another item that i need to add by looking at other countries. see below. not sure if this is necessary as well

backup all the files that you want to replace before you do anything
then replace the files
reboot your iphone
it should show the country properly now

(7) if you need more options aside from ZIP, State, Country, Street, etc...
take a look at ABAddressFormats.plist
you will notice that there is an entry there that is not a country.. forgot what's the exact title, but it will stand out as something with more than 2 letters. open that up and you will see what other options you can have for addresses.

here's the result

note that i added 'State' later.. it wasn't in the screenshot above

Carrier Settings' Issues

Hey ya'll,
Just changed my carrier settings for t-mobile but when i go to settings>phone>t-mobile services then on top it says "CARRIER_SERVICES", I've tried numerous times to edit the phone and services files but I don't know where they get the CARRIER_SERVICES prompt.
Also in settings I now have an ON/OFF tab for show my caller id which shows OFF but actually isn't off (called friends who confirmed me my number was showing).
I'm no noob so I did try afterwards to upload the files given in the modmyifone topic for changing carrier settings but it's not doing anything. Anyone has encountered the same problems?

M68AP.PLIST file format changed in 1.1.2 (Springboard Icon Layout Control File)

The M68AP.PLIST file format has changed in the new 1.1.2 firmware. It is no longer an XML Document. I haven't tried modding the new file, I just replaced it with a copy of the old XML version and restarted and it seems to be working fine. I have attached the default XML version for anyone who has already upgraded. If you have modded your M68AP.PLIST file, make sure that you back it up before upgrading. I made this mistake and now I have to re-arrange my icons to my liking.

Upload to /System/Library/CoreServices/SpringBoard.app/

P.S. It's easier to use an XML editor or the native WINSCP text editor to modify this file than Windows Notepad.

[HOW-TO] Use a wap connection on your phone (ex:T-ZONE) and IP Address for connection

So, many providers invoke an additional fee when going through an internet server (for laptop, general internet use) vs a wap server, which is meant for mobile internet pages, and on the iPhone, up until now, you could not access EDGE through a wap server, because there is no place to enter the IP address/proxy address.

It would be great if someone could write an app to do this process right through the phone and it should be quite a simple APP.

Here`s the HOWTO: (using 205.151.11.11 as the IP address, in RED (wap.fido.ca), but put your server`s IP or proxy address there instead.)

make a new text file named proxy.pac with the following text:

My phone is stuck at the apple screen, I have a file I'm trying to restore but dont know exactly how to with Iphonebrowser..

The file is iPhone.temp.DS_Store
Can someone please help me out I dont want to restore my phone, Im running 1.0.2 all I have is a T-mobile SIM card. If I was to restore back to 1.1.1 would I be able to unlock the phone with one SIM? Because I heard you need a AT&T SIM and a Tmobile SIM to unlock and do everything correctly.

I tried adding a new folder "DisplayOrder.plist" to my springboard.app folder using iphonebrowser with a carbin fiber theme.
it wouldnt load to the phone when i reset it. So i deleted the folder and restarted my iphone.

Now for some reason my iphone just stays at the apple screen and wont load to my phone.. I cant turn off my phone I can only reset it..

If I plug my phone in to my CPU the computer will pop up my pictures and iphonebrowser works but my phone will not load at all!

Can someone please help me out I dont know if I damaged my phone, Im a newb and could use some advice ASAP

SpringBoard.app HELP

Hey I was using ibrickr and I think i added some files into the springboard.app folder that I didnt need in there.

It has made my iphone battery meter disappear when I unplug my the USB..
When I have my Iphone Plugged up to my CPU the battery meter SHOWS UP..

Now I just got rid of Ibrickr and Installed Iphonebrowser I like it better
Anyways I removed the SpringBoard.app folder and installed a fresh one!

Now what I need to know, I have all the stock files and I want to make my battery meter come back to the original green.

All what files go into SpringBoard.app? just the 17 battery files only?

Now when I throw these files into the SpringBoard.app what do i have to do after that i make my phone have the original meter do i have to save anything?

Could someone help me out I'm very new to all of this.

I've been reading these forums for awhile, but this is my first post. I usually research as much as I can on this site and others until I find the answer, but I'm pretty stuck at this point.

Running: 1.0.2 unlocked, Customize, Summerboard, ibrickr, iphonebrowser

I've seen threads that mention the same problem, but wondering if mine is semi-unique.

First: The sounds and vibration on my iphone have been completely whiped out... almost. The phone vibrates and rings when a phone call is recieved. So I don't think it's a hardware issue. I've tried the plugging in/out headphones, tried playing with the side button, tried installing stock sounds on iphone, tried using customize sounds, tried thumping the damn thing under the apple icon on the back. Nothing.

Second: I've made a custom phone icon. It works, but sometimes the paper and pencil image will appear after pressing it. It only does this every now and then and I'm wondering why? I've seen that icon in my Customize under loading, but don't want to mess with anything. Is there a specific reason it's doing that?

Thanks for any help I get. Even if my problem isn't fixed, hopefully some discussion is brought up to help solve the problem.

UK phone number formats

Yesterday I discovered the M68AP.plist and added international support. However, I could not get my custom number masks to work using the United Kingdom as a locale.

Bizarrely, if I edit the UIPhoneFormats.plist file and add a 'GB' key with the number format masks I can get it to work.

This also seems to be a problem with 1.1.2 (playing with one in an o2 store seems to show now number mask at all).

I've now got a fabulous UK formatted iPhone - with dates in their proper order! But it seems remarkable that Apple switched from using 'UK' in their plists to using 'GB' for this one item and totally failed to pick up on their error - I've not seen this documented anywhere else (which makes me think it's my error somehow) but in case anyone else is trying to get the international phone formats to work this may be the solution.

blurry pictures while viewing?????

I was working on my phone and i click the dock by accident while using the camera then it crashed and rebooted by itself, now it seems that when im reviewing pictures they are blurry for an unusually long time before they go into focus. I know they usually are blurry for like 2 secs while scrolling through but now sometimes it takes like 20 seconds, but sometimes they are clear to begin with no delay at all. Any ideas what files could i replace with originals in case i corrupted some??

is there any way to delete pictures from my 1.1.1 iphone using mobile finder or something without having to un-sync them with itunes? if so, how do i do it? the reason i'm asking is my brother in law accidentally cleared out my itunes library and i don't feel like setting everything back up again and getting all my album art again, etc etc.
