Just installed iswitecher thru their source.
Then installed a theme, then neither the home button nor the lock one would work. Then it just shut down, tried to restart but it stuck on the white apple page, then after 2 minutes I get their "circlish" sign and the screen turns black again, and the iphone restarts.
i've read some posts on to solve that problem but it doesnt work for me.

How can I reset the iphone? I dont care about my music, pics, etc...

I don't see rSBT in Installer so I manually install version 3.3 from http://code.google.com/p/rsbt/downloads/list. Program starts up fine, I set the dock to 4 and put some different icons in the dock, save, exit, even reboot but nothing changes at all. I try dragging icons all around and saving but nothing changes.

Next I tried all versions from 2.8 to 3.2, same deal.

Next I tried installing the Customize application from Installer. This looks like it has some form of rSBT in it, except setting the number of icons seems to be missing. Using this app I can arange the order of my regular icons or my doc icons but not the number. I can also make them hidden.

At one point I f-ed everything up good and had to use Xlauncher to restore my icons.

They're all in my list of apps i can uninstall, just theyre not on my home screen or anything. and i would just install dock, or stack or something, but when i do that, it says "main script execution failed"

Why when you go to google.com and load the maps on your pc everything works fine, but as soon as you go the iPhone and type in the same exact address or location it gives you a different location in another state?

With dock, u simply can bypass it.
Hopefully Natetrue will fix it.

Slide to unlock, and instead of putting a passcode, press the "Emergency Call" at the left bottom button of the keypad. after 2 seconds the sunburst will appear and u will be able to access every app. :[

I recently purchase an iPhone and had it unlocked. Currently, it's running version 1.0.2 with modem 03.14.08_G, unlock SIM phone. I've install.app installed and installed a bunch of programs. The Summerboard didn't get install correctly and I got exit out of install.app. Now the install.app icon is no long on the menu and I can't scroll to get to it. Is there a way I can get into install.app without ssh or redoing the unlock/recover? A command or something I can use to get into install.app?

1.Download the latest version http://www.oursdownload.com/dvd-to-iphone.html ,and install it. You can know more about it by referring here.



2.Insert the DVD you'd like to convert to your computer's DVD drive.



3. Click 'File' menu and 'Open DVD', or directly hit 'Open DVD' button to load the DVD. Set the profile to be iPhone 480*320 mpeg-4 video which is the default DVD video quality.
4. Click around in the DVD's menu to set up DVD playback as you like, select the subtitle and audio sound tracks etc, then begin to play the movie through the software by click the play button.
5. The following window will pop up. Here, you can rename 'Title Name', set 'Save Path' and output quality, then click 'Yes' button to start ripping DVD to iPhone MP4 or iPhone H264 video from the point that the movie starts. That is all. Just so easy!



If you'd like to record from certain time point, or want to change some parameters like 'output format', 'video bitrates', 'frame rate', 'audio bitrates', please click 'No' button to close the window.

6.Optional parameters settings
* Select subtitles and languages
Click 'Subtitle' or 'Audio Track' in the 'Setting' menu, choose the related value you like.
* Set output formats
Choose the target file format from 'Profile'. The software supports converting DVD to iPhone 480*320 MP4 video,iPod MP4 video, iPod h264 video, MP3 audio.



* Set the start time to convert
Use the video playback controls to queue up the point at which you want to start ripping. Or click 'Setting -> Go to' and jump to previous/next chapter.

* More parameters
Click 'Setting -> Output video settings', here you can choose different profile, video/audio bitrates, video size, disable video/audio, aspect ratio, frame/sample rate, etc.
If you are not familiar with these options, please view the descriptions listed at the bottom of the window.

*Crop/cut&Resize the movie
If you want to make the widescreen dvd(16:9) to be outputted as fullscreen(4:3) video, you can use the crop function.
Set Crop to "Crop both black bands" and resize to be "stretch to full screen" if you don't need to keep the subtitle.
Set crop to "Crop the upper black band" so you can keep the subtitle in the down black band




*Direct/batch conversion
If you want to rip you DVD movie into one whole file, please use the direct ripping mode described above.
If you want to rip your DVD by chapters to into separated output files (for example your music DVDs, TV Episode DVDs), you can use the batch conversion rip mode, just ticket out the titles you want to convert and click convert.
You can switch this two modes by clicking on the mode-Direct&Batch.

7. Hit 'Convert' button, choose the recording time point and quality, then click 'Yes' to begin to convert DVD to iPhone video or audio quickly.

A weird thing happened to my springboard today; I received a few update notifications on installer and decided to update iToggle which I already had installed through Shai's apps then it asked to be updated again. I figured out that this happened cuz I also have the new MMi source and they had the 1.0.4 version whereas Shai had the 1.0.3.

ANYWAY, the weird thing is, my springboard ended up looking from right to left (see pic attached) ! and I couldn't fix it through RSBT or through soft reset!

I got everything back to normal (see other pic) after uninstalling iToggle. What's even weirder is that although iToggle is officially uninstalled on my phone (not on the list of "uninstall" packages in installer), the 1.0.4 version still appears on my phone and works great ! :rolleyes:

Anyway, just thought I'd share in case anyone had this problem.

When i let him in stanby mode , average once every two hours he turn ON the Screen-LCD , with the default screen (like when you click on the botton to wake him from the stanby) , and after 2 or 3 second he return in stanby mode (if you dont slide).


I can not understand why after 1 or 2 hours he start the screen .. and then turn back in stanby. No sms, No call , no Email.. nothing... i cannot find why he do that.

Any idea?




Another little question: i have installed SSH / sFTP with Independence1.3b2 , very easy. But now when i run Services.app i cannot see any SSH option only:
Edge ON / OFF

Wifi ON / OFF

Bluetooth ON / OFF


Why ? it is better that i remove SSH / sFTP with Independence and install it with Installer.app ? or something not work ? because all work fine if i access from my mac to the iphone over ssh or sFtp.

Results were that it froze my screen, on hard restart it got stuck in continual reboot. Once I finally got it to boot, the screen was still unresponsive.

I had to SHH into the applications folder and rename the screenshot.app so that it wouldnt boot on startup, then I could switch it off using the app.

Now i can't turn the ssh option on or off. Wich makes me feel a little uneasy. Of course i have changed the password, but still. After installation of Summerboard, the phone occasionally freezes, and Applications occasionally just randomly close....particularly Safari.

How do I fix this?

I have already installed the BSD Subsystem Unix tools, and I just reinstalled them....

i also uninstalled Summerboard and reinstalled that.....but the problem still seems there...

I really want to use Summerboard, but this problem sucks.

does anybody else know how to fix this?

I have about 1000 html files of medical articles saved over the years which I put into a folder named emedicine. I've copied this folder into Library/webserver/documents. They are organised in alphabetical order.

Strange thing is I can open he first maybe 60 files but if I try and open one further down the list I get this message: FORBIDDEN - You don't have permission to access /emedicine/then the file name.

Any ideas?

Also with PDF files it seems to be able to only read some but not others independent of size.

So I've figure out part of the problem. To get the files onto my ipod I have to use iphonedrive. I then have to copy the files from media folder to the webserver/documents folder which is not a problem. If I move the files however I get the warning but if I copy them there's no problem so I guess it's got something to do with permissions.

BUT, I still a similar problem in that once I get down my list of html files (around about the 70th one in alphabetical order) and I try to open one I get a blank page. I get the same problem with PDFs - complete blank page.

Am I trying to store too many files? 1000 html files (only aroung 100mb in total)

It has a new image for everything except the icon which is probably replaced by your summerboard theme anyways.

How to install:
Using WinSCP or another SSH application - connect to your iphone and place the images overwriting any previous in /Applications/ttr.app/

No backups are included so I highly suggest you backup before installing the theme

Due to technical limitations the scrolling notes had to be one colored perfect circles since they spin, it may look unattractive, but it was the best I could do. The color coded "perfect/good/miss" indication helps a lot since if they are all one color you can barely tell what you got right or wrong.

Enjoy! And atleast try it out, since it feels a lot better ingame rather than viewing screenshots.

oK so i use customize as well as ifunatastic to do my modding. I figured out alot of back doors to customizing my iphone without using tutorials. I have ran into a unfixable problem and would hate to restore my iphone after changing every bit of detail on it...

PROBLEM: tryed changing keyboard to MMI blue and the whole board went black with spots here and there where u can see the keyboard. If you press the keys they pop up normally but other then that its BLACK. I have been messing with it for awhile and it got even worse the whole keyboard now looks like a fuzzy tv !!! wtf! can any help with fixing this problem i have deleted custom files, restored stock files nothing works. I would really hate to restore.

however, they do NOT show up when I go to the Settings > Wallpaper area...that is, the new ones do not show.

? -- is there something I'm missing? iBricker quite nicely installs Summerboard themes and new ringtones but what do I need to do to put new Wallpaper items up?

I was just installing some things on installer apps and i installed the ipod3 tweak in the 1.1.1 tweaks section. It didn't work at first, it said i needed the 1.1.12 tweak so i went to customize and "configure customize" ( i think its something new in customize never saw it before ) then changed the version to 1.1.2 and then the installation for ipod3 tweak worked. I didn't know what the ipod 3 tweak but i still went ahead and installed :rolleyes: and now my iphone is so messed up. To name a few I dont have my ipod icon on my dock. My Iphone will be mostly synced on the Imac so i needed to get all Items from Outlook onto the iphone. I needed something to sync my calendar from my XP laptop running Outlook 2007.

Plaxo was great. Once installed and signed up you create a single Acc on Plaxo for free. Download the add ins and let it do its thing. Now i have the following:-

Outlook 2007 Sync to Plaxo, Which in turn syncs Google Calendar and Ical on the mac. Iphone when connected is always up to date. Plaxo also adds new contacts, calendar appointments etc... very quickly to all programs you choose.

Thanks to CyberGreg I got a definitive answer to my question.

You have to use a number on the version number or it messes it up. Like an idiot i used "BETA" as the version number.

Luckily I also messed up the unistall script so now I'm screwed. any ideas how i can remove it from installer?
