I get billed 150 dollars for texting my girlfriend in eygpt, i need ot find a wait around this. So I thought to use apollo, but I can't get it working with my GPRS, that or email. I have unlimited text, and more then anything I want to find a way to text internationally for free... can one of you experts please help?

1-on installer app all go to "sources"
2-click on "edit" the click "add"
3-type in iphone.surrealnetworks.com/repo
4-hit ok
5-hit refresh
6-go to install section find "surreal networks"
7-install T-Mobile T-Zones Proxy
8-re-boot your phone

after installing go to settings>>>General>>>Network>>>EDGE>>>on APN field type in wap.voicestream.com leave Username and Password blank.

You just saved yourself $14 a month for the same service as the $19 a month plan. Enjoy! :)


You should also install Sticky APN so your APN settings are saved when you reboot or turn off your phone.

EDGE works good now, but the only thing i can't get to work is the moble itunes, even Youtube works (albeit slow)....when i try to open itunes, it says i can only open with a wifi connection....

I got my iphone a couple of days ago and thanks to you all it's now running with tmobile simcard. It is a 1.1.1 I connect to the web via WiFi and everything works great.

to try and get to the web through tmobile $5.99 service. I got a text from tmobile in my iPhone saying that the service is active, but I can't get it to work. All I get is a black screen and then back to my home page.

I am pretty sure I followed the instructions well. I even did it twice just in case.

Any advice?

As a side note, this phone was originally a 1.02 unlocked phone...EDGE worked fine then, but it was hacked by a friend who used ibrickr to make EDGE work....it's my understanding that ibrickr won't work with a phone that has 1.1.1, so again, how do i get EDGE to work?

How bad is this?
Does it really need repairing or is there a way past it?
I Fly back to the UK this evening, if it really is toast can i put it back in a state i can return to the apple store to replace???

I added a couple #'s to myfaves. Today i pop the simcard into my iphone and call my friend who is one of myfaves. When i go online, all the minutes came out of my anytime minutes.

Do I have to leave the sim in the nokia for a certain amount of time before switching it to the iphone?

I also ported my # today and its in some dual mode where my sprint phone still makes incoming and outgoing calls with the same # i ported into Tmo, while my Tmo phone/iphone can make outgoing calls (showing the ported # on caller ids), but cant recieve calls until ~24 hours. Not sure if that could be part of the problem.

I just put the sim card back in the Nokia and made a call to one of myfaves, and it showed up online as coming out of myfave minutes. Now, I know 100% the SMTP settings are set correctly because it's syncing with my working Mail App on my Mac. Any ideas how to send mail on the EDGE plan? Wifi works fine when I send out.

My SMTP out is based on GoDaddy Hosting Account (smtpout.secureserver.net)

I'm using 1.02 unlocked on the T-Mob network. I am using t-zones, the $5.99 plan, currently on my phone. Safari and Mail work perfectly fine. When it comes to YouTubing....I can't search for ****. I get the error YouTube Not Available. What I can do is watch YouTube movies I have bookmarked or whatever is on my History. Is there anyway I can get search to work?

is anyone having a problem with their voicemail alerts?
I am on a iphone 1.1.1 unlocked with anysim1.1p running on t-mobile USA

problem is -
1. voicemail alert (red dot) comes up everytime i reboot the iphone.
2. the alert does not go away when i check my voicemail.
3. the alert will only disappear if i listen to a brand new voice message.
4. it seems to be a sim card issue, since my girlfriend is also on tmobile unlocked to 1.1.1 has alert (red dot) issues.
