Restore is locked

I have an 8 GB iPod Touch and I unlocked it to 2.0 with winpwn and someone in my house updated it on iTunes to 2.0.1. I have been unable to restore to a previous software cause it says some message and I cant take it out of restore mode for the life and have to restore it time and time again to 2.0.1. NOW I did a hard reboot on my computer which erased everything music, videos etc... and here I am with a fresh computer and no media with a Touch that just wont give. Since I have no media and if I restore to 2.0.1 I will loose it all. If I can get out of restore mode and find some software to download all my music and movies I can save it from a complete loss and my stupidity.

Latest software on it is 2.0.1 and I did a recovery (which it asks after a restore to put all your media back on your Touch) so all my media is on the iPod but I cant get it out of restore mode to save my life! Any special trick for 2.0.1 to get out of restore mode?

Thanks for all your replies...

Why did you format your computer for? There was no need to as you might have been able to fix it.
Anyway, are you in DFU Mode or restore mode? DFU is where you only get a black screen

I formatted my computer cause I wanted to do some Mac emulator stuff and just wanted a fresh comp but was very impulsive and forgot about it all deleting my files. I am in restore mode. Not DFU cause I see the "Connect to iTunes" image on my screen.

Thanks for the help... anyone!

There is nothing wrong with the new firmware, that I am aware of... I pwn 2.0 then was upgraded to 2.0.1 by someone at home and now I cant restore old firmware or get out of RESTORE without a complete and updated restore to 2.0.1

The problem is getting out of restore in 2.0.1

You need to Download iTunes 7.5, DFU it, then restore it back to 1.1.4,

MAKE SURE IT IS NOT 7.7, THIS WILL NOT WORK IF YOU HAVE WRONG VERSION OF iTUNES!!!!

But that won't solve his media issue, and he doesn't have ssh, so no solution there.
Try and see if you can access your iphone through this.

I lost it all... I got an iPhone and I just decided that I should give up... The touch was in restore mode and I couldn't get out of it without restoring... I just restored it and pwnd it. I went to Cydia and did an update and it frooze on me... Now I'm waiting for the battery to die cause it wouldn't shut down or restart... Another problem when I get home... Thanks for you posts!

Have you tried holding down home and power for a while? That forces it to turn off

I did try holding down the home button and the power button. It would shut off but if I powered up again it would go straight to the restore screen... I just said the hell with it but if anyone gets stuck or has the same problem I have already start their search for answers...

Gods speed!
