Hiya!
Just thought I'd let you know of what happened to me today. I had a 2.0.1 quickpwned iPod touch running Winterboard. After getting bored with one theme I decided to change it to "A Touch of Class". When it resprung, every thing turned out to be in order, minus a few missing icons.
Then I noticed it would no longer SSH. "Interesting..." I thought. I figured I had my auto-lock set on, which normally causes problems. Then I noticed, after a few tries, that my auto-lock was still activated. Quickly I realized that was due to the fact that my settings weren't saving!
So, I casually put it in Sleep mode and instantly woke it up, finding that I got that nifty information pop-up about the wiggly home screen feature. "Odd..." I said, after closing that and finding that my settings still weren't saving.
"I want my damn auto-lock off" I exclaimed, holding down the sleep/wake button to power off. (This is where it gets good). When I turned my iPod back on, I found my amusing pineapple boot logo, but my wallpaper had defaulted to the Earth photo. How chilling...
When I unlocked it, finding my my passcode was no longer in effect, all my non-cydia installed applications (meaning the ones bought from Apple) weren't there, and my homescreen had reset to it's original layout. In addition to that, all my music, videos, contacts, calendars, mail, etc. was
all gone. Needless to say, I shuttered.
But I didn't panic, and bravely restored my iPod, which forced me to update to 2.0.2...
Yeah...
So, I'm now typing this with my poor iPod looking up at me with that normal silver Apple restore logo. Ooo! Guess what! iTunes says, "Your iPod has been restored. Leave it connected...or else. But this message is gonna disappear anyways."
Now, when I go to change it so that it syncs my contacts and calendars with outlook, outlook (nor anything else) appears in the list, and the Calendar section is greyed out completely. Any thoughts at all about this endeavor?
(P.S. Mods: Not sure where to put this, it kinda incompasses jailbreaking and themeing, so feel free to move it)
