bought a MAc, have a ipod touch and using SSH, have a question

i am using fuqu to ssh into my ipod. i downloaded the pdf viewer. when i used to have a pc i used ibrickr and got into the system files pretty easy but ssh is giving me a problem.

i downloaded the files into var/root/media/pdf.

created the folder i needed just like on ibrickr. i download the ssh files in the ipod. in the PDF file.

i restart the ipod, just in case, and then when i try and run the program it restarts.

so i look around the file system with SQUID and they are in /private/var/root/media/pdf

how do i get it out of this private mode? or root system. i looked up top to change the source folder and start from HOME, but it still goes and restarts?

whats the deal?

so does no one know or just not care? i am really not sure about this pdf thing. i did it in ibrickr no problem but SSH into does not work because it goes to private.

made another file folder and root system and it does not recognize it.

maybe the new 2.0 firmware coming will have a pdf viewer we can download?
