I had to start the process a jailbroken 1.1.4 ipod touch which worked great. However, I decided to update to 2.0.1 so i downloaded winpwn and the 2.0.1 firmware off the net. When i go to DFU i hold the power and home buttons for 10 seconds and wait for the two usb sounds and all that happens is it goes into restore mode <Apple> not the winpwn DFU. My screen will not stay black, it's only black when Itunes cannot recognize it. All i want is to have my Ipod woking and jailbroken again. Please help.

Try going through with it when it goes to DFU mode. When I did 1.1.4 to 2.0 (to 2.0.1 shouldn't be much different) it went into recovery mode, but it still restored (although, I did use a Pwnage-made firmware, not a WinPwn-made firmware), so just try it. If you must be a perfectionist, you could try holding down the home button step just until the first sign that the computer has detected it (the first Boop). It sounds like you're holding the home button too long.
