Just Bought iPhone and want to switch it to T-Mobile...Now what? (Windows XP OS)

I was able to get my hands on this from my brother for a real good price.(family discount) I am currently with T-Mobile and would like to stay with them. I would like for those with experience to let me know which Windows based programs they recommend to unlock the phone. Please name off a few that you know are out there and any pros and cons about them that you know of. I do want the iPhone to be as fully functional as possible. I also would like to add little games and other apps if that matters. Thanks in advance for the help.

I have heard of winpwn and iliberty. Are these the most popular or stable? Any experiences with them you can share?

Congrats on the new iphone. I have a Mac and a WinXP machine. I originally jailbroke mine on iliberty, it worked great, but wanting to try something different, I used the pawnage tool on the Mac. Both worked fine and left me with a fully working iphone. I am using a prepaid tmobile sim card. I you are already on tmobile, you can just take the sim card from your old phone and plug it into the jailbroken, unlocked iphone. After you do the jailbreak, unlock, etc. My recommendations is to install cydia : apptapp.saurik.com .(This will be in addition to your installer). Cydia will replace the bsd with a {In my opinion) much better version.

Alright, sounds good. I have another couple of questions if i may. My bro put a bunch of songs in the phone. Should I delete everything and basically start off with a defaulted iPhone before I start all this? My next question is if those other apps that you mentioned are as easy as WinPwn seems to be to download in to the iPhone?

I've been reading all day in the forums and it seems that WinPwn is probably what I'll use. Not too many complaints about it and it seems easy enough to use.

When you unlock it permanently downgrades your bootloader to 3.9. No way back up if you need warranty. And its methods for jailbreaking are dangerous and can cause memory corruption, the code was originally the dev team's but they didn't release it due to this, but Zibri did anyway.
