Cydia is by far the most elegant solution for installing apps, it is app sensitive and knows whether to restart, re spring or just go back to cydia. Much more informative and quick to give out warings and advice about potential problems, and fast fixes to any problems which apprear.

Installer is being prepped as an alternative to appstore and Im pretty sure they are planning a way to make money from us like appstore. As far as I'm concernd appstore and cydia will fill all my needs so installer is losing its place in this community and if they dont rethink their plans installer will moulder and die !!!!!

If any developer wants to make cash from jailbroken iphones my suggestion is to release apps which can be tested first and the user can decide to pay for full functionality or delete. Developers who charge for apps should pay Cydia for hosting and installing. Thats would be a viable alternative to appstore and give us access to non "apple restricted" apps

I prefer Installer 4's oversized icons, duplicate files, and lack of updates.... (sarcasm)

I also like how ripdev took over and anything they touch turns to explosive dynamite (kate - go go restore go!)

ripdev, if you read this, and i know you do, you should have just created a 5icon dock with the reflections and not worried about installer.

all of the ignorant people who thought installer was better have had a taste of champagne and nobody wants to drink your beer saurak codes stuff for iphone and gives it away. ripdevs codes stuff for iphone and charges 45 dollars, the most expensive app - preapp store, and might as well still be the most expensive besides that stupid 150 dollar protools remote.

wow looks like i might have to upgrade. I used cydia and each time ia had to restore, jb, etc
all over again.

I just upgraded to 1.1.3 a couple of months ago and down graded one i bought to 1.1.4 because of these problems.

Installer 4 does look pretty weak and Cydia alot better but I wish it would work with 1.1.3 and 1.1.4 better.
