Unlocking and bootneutering fixed the no reception problem for me too on O2 UK.

so if I customized, 1.1.4 with pwn, do I need Boot & Unlock it before I put 1.2b or I do that after 1.2b? all I need to do is Upgrade or do I need to restore 1.2b?

even though you dont see anything, hold the sleep and home button on the iphone for 20 sec and let go of the top button keep holding the bottom button and wait for itunes to recognize it and then restore and try again hope this helps....

As I said in my post it will not turn on. I have tried to connect it to my Mac via USB but it will not recognize it because it is not powered. I have also tried holding both buttons and no response whatsoever.
