I plugged my already unlocked iphone to itunes. It asked to upgrade to version 1.1.4 and I said yes. after it upgraded it won't let me get to my main menu. It goes only to the emergency calls. I still recieve calls and can make calls from my phone. After the upgrading it said I needed a valid unlocked sim card to activate it. Please help I am have not iphone smarts, but I can follow directions really well. I need help getting my phone back to the way I liked it. Please help! Please help! Thanks in advance to anyone that can help me. I really do appreciate it.

So I take it you want to stay with FW 1.1.4? and not 2.0.1?, well if so then your going to need the past ispw's 1.1.0, 1.1.1, 1.1.2, 1.1.3, 1.1.4 because if I am not mistaken you cannot just jump ahead and install 1.1.4 because you should get an error message if you try that. I think someone correct me if I am wrong here.
Well if I am right then you will need to download those firmwares I told you about and then you will need to put your phone into recovery mode with the holding both home and power button for about 7 seconds until the phone shuts off then about 2 seconds let go of the power button start counting to 10, after 10 seconds let go of the home button, Itunes should recognize the phone as being in recovery mode, there you can shift click on restore and find the firmwares on your computer, starting with the oldest firmware, let it install, then keep going through the firmwares until you get back to 1.1.4, if I am wrong in what I am saying then someone speak up and lemme know, because I do not want to give him the wrong information. Thanks!

if you wanna stay to 1.1.4 hers what you do:
1. download the firmware 1.1.4 after that.
2. open itunes 7 or later plug your iphone
hold shift+click restore and go to where to save your downloaded firmware 1.1.4, double click it.
3. you dont need to go to recovery mode, after doing the no. 2 and hitting restore it will restore to 1.1.4 then wait till it gets done restoring.
4.download ZIphone or any other unlocker( i use ziphone 3.0), use it to unlock your phone. and you will have a brand new iphone unlock 1.1.4
