So the other day I did this as a joke, just wanting to see what would happen, and if some idiot would report it to eBay.
First off, I took a theme I did for someone for free, just a personal theme that they wanted for their wife. I gave it to them, but never put it online for anyone else to have.
I put it on eBay, and said, okay, this is a one of a kind theme, yours to have if you really want it. It comes with the standard buttons, wallpaper, and dock, NOTHING else. It's for jailbroken iPhones. Happy bidding!
Within about five minutes of the auction, I started getting questions from people who didn't know what jailbreak meant and they asked how would they go around by doing it. I told them, that if they won the listing, I'd be gladly to assist them.
And I got about 20 watchers by the end of the listing, pretty good, and 5 different bidders. This people were pretty desperate too, the first few anted it for a bargain, but you know, as most people in eBay do, they get someone to help them by bidding the prices up. One girl bid $0.99, another $2.50, a guy $5.00. Some lady started her bid at $20.00 and wanted it so bad, she went up to $80.00. The final bid someone put was $90.00.
$90.00 dollars for a Juicy Couture standard theme, $90.00 for three hours of work. That is not bad at all, and people said I wasn't going to be able to do it. Now, it might have been the fact that it had the Juicy Couture keyword and came up with all their listings, but are simple iPhone/iPod Touch themes profitable, heck they are!
iPwned those who said I couldn't do it, bwahahaha!
