I have a simple question....

I've, I believe, successfully jailbroken and unlocked my 2g iphone (firmware 2.0.2 with Pwnage 2.0.3). What is my screen now supposed to look like before I insert a TMo simcard? I don't have a TMo account, this is somebody else's phone.

I have the emergency screen only with info that displays IMEI number and unknown ICCID. Shouldn't a jailbroken iphone have access to non-carrier dependent functions, i.e. ipod?

Thanks..

You might have jailkbroken it, but it sounds like it's not activated

You have to choose to activate the phone via pwnage.

Hey the phone won't work until some kind of SIM card is in it. Sounds like you did a good job though. Just try putting a SIM card in it from any carrier now

the 2.0.2 firmware was primarily for the 3g only... it does nothing on the first generation phone...

I understand. But I don't have a sim card, so I can't activate. I'm selling the thing. It'll be someone else's card. Are you saying I should have checked activate in pwnage anyway?...or that the new user will have to re-run pwnage and choose activate with their sim card in the phone? I'm simply trying to make it as simple as possible for the new owner. Maybe I'm trying to do something that can't be done...
Thx

Well it did recover properly as far as iTunes was concerned. So something happened.

I've never seen the information icon on the emergency screen before, so I assume that's part of the Pwnage custom ipsw build. Perhaps it was always there, but I never noticed it.

You can activate without a sim, it'll just say no sim installed, or something along those lines.
