Hi,
I recently purchased a 3G iPhone and I just now noticed that the modem firmware is 2.08.01! I have looked all over the net and it appears that I can't change the modem firmware at all. My question is that if the Dev Team does come out with a software unlocking method does that mean I am going to be hosed?
On the website for them they said they have been able to change the baseband to a earlier (beta) version, so does that mean that with this version I have I would still be able to change it as well and possibly unlock the phone?
Any help with this would be nice!

Unfortunately I think the only people who can answer that is the Dev team. Will it be able to be unlocked? Probably... they all were unlockable sooner or later. Only time will tell though.
