Installer.app is the primary key to distribution of Mobile OS X apps to the iPhone/iPod touch hacking/modding community. It uses community maintained repositories to host all the apps and utilities that you see in the installation catagories screen. Installer.app downloads all of its apps via Wifi and EDGE (preferably Wifi for the larger apps). It will also automatically refresh its repository sources every 12 hours to ensure your apps are up to date.

Installer has a beautiful and easy to navigate interface and has great easy to use functions for the not so technical users. Finding and installing apps and utilities is a breeze. Simply open the Installer.app and tap the Install icon on the bottom. This will bring you to a screen where you can scroll through catagories and even search all of the packages with a spotlight like feel. Uninstalling Apps that you don’t want anymore is just as simple as installing them. Just navigate to the uninstall icon on the bottom of the screen and tap on the app you want to uninstall, you will be prompted just incase you tapped the wrong app to uninstall and it is that easy.

More info about Installer.app con be found at the developers site, http://iphone.nullriver.com/beta/.
