Capture not saving images

I love Capture and use it quite often, but its stopped working. The app loads and I'm able to click the "snap: button but it's not saving images to the camera roll.I even did a restore and reinstalled everything.

Any ideas?

Apps for transferring files from iPhone

Hi, does anybody know if there are any apps out there that let us transfer files in batches from the iPhone to a Mac?

I forgot to backup my iTunes folder when I reformatted my Mac and all the music are now gone. I have the same songs on my iPhone and I'd like to transfer all of them back to my computer.

I have DropCopy but it only allows transfer of one file a time and I have 7 gigs of songs.....

I'm seeing bits and pieces as to what people think but I didn't see a dedicated thread so I'm trying to set one up.

Basically, let me know what you guys think. I'm thinking we'll definetly see it Monday but as to a release... maybe 80% sure? That is my speculation from what I've been reading. Though I also agree that there isn't enough hype yet so would apple really just bring it out? I'm curious as to what you all think.

BTW I already took off work Monday just in case. I hope I'm not wrong. If it doesn't come out then hell I got the day off. ;)

External Iphone Defect?

Ive had my iphone for a little more than a month now.
I unlocked it in 1.1.4, and I love it to death. If it ever broke, I would probably save up and buy a new one. I currently have it in an iskin, the ones with the plastic visor that snaps in over it, just so I can feel like its getting maximum protection. BUT whenever I take it out, to clean it or whatever, it feels like the silver part, just around the screen, is loose enough to pop off, and the Bottom part, thats black, isn't centered correctly( very unnoticeable) , and whenever I press it inwards, it seems to make clicking noises as in almost squeaking, because when I push it in, it had room to go in, ( its loose ) and yea. I presume its just a faulty iphone shell, like when I bought it, because I handle this thing with absolute care. But yea. Do you think that if the shell were to break off in the future, and if I were to restore it, that they would trade it in or a new phone at my local apple store? or would that be one of apples infamous "loupoles" ( how do you spell that?). Or just share your opinions. I dont really know what to ask. Im just a little frustrated over this, and I had to make a post about it...so yea...

Issues

After a few months on 1.1.4 i have been having some major issues with freezing on apple logo with the spinning wheel just under the bottom quarter of the logo.

I have restored it several times, JB etc with iLliberty , have no extra apps installed, but after a day or so it just freezers to apple logo, wont even do a reboot holding home & power button. Just stays on logo screen and drains battery very quickly.

If i plug it in to mains power it will charge, if into desktop/itunes it will sync. but not boot it out of logo screen.

If any one else has had these issue, please let me know how you overcome this.

What's up everyone. I downloaded Ziphone to hack my iphone 8gb. I like the program, but i the one thing i'm missing is the Customize feature. I wanna change my sounds and slide option, things like that. I've looked on youtube for videos, and i see other people install "customize" from the program list, but i don't have that there to download. Does anyone know how to get that, or is there a better program to download for the phone. Any help would be appreciated.

Ok so heres my problem, I have a few iphones I am trying to unlock, but before I unlock them I want to upgrade to 1.1.4 firmware, It currently has 1.0 (I know very old) so when I connect it to my windows laptop, i get this error "itunes cannot connect to iphone because an invalid response received from phone"

so I cannot even get my computer to recognize it...its not the phone either because I have 4 of them, same problem. So now I want to restore back to factory settings, so I hold the power/home until it turns off then release the power button and then the black boot screen with the apple logo turns a dark tinted white color along with the apple logo. Now my computer recognizes it as an iPod! and it wont let me restore it! it will then say, "iTunes could not connect to the iPhone ## because an unknown error occured (0xE800001) I have tried older itunes, 7.6/ 7.5/all 7.4.x's/7.3 with no sucess...I have tried all differnt programs...ziphone, ibrckr, they wont recognize my iphone! multiple restarts of computer/iphone...I am really stumped...my goal is to upgrade to 1.1.4 firmware and unlock with ziphone...

Any help will be greatly appreciated thanks...

UPDATE:

ok so i downgraded to itunes 7.3 and when I hold the home/power button down then release when the apple logo comes up and the screen turns white the itunes recognizes the iphone in recovery mode but when I press restore it says, "Software for this iPhone is not currently available. Make sure you have the latest version of iTunes and try again" so i press shift and restore and i have tried using 1.0, 1.01, 1.02, 1.1.1, 1.1.3, and 1.1.4 all will extract the file and then say, "the iPhone "iPhone" could not be restored. An unknown error occurred (5).

At least it recognized it, but of course still cant get it to work...thanks...

Uninstall apps after jailbreaking

Hi,

I want to know how to uninstall applications as i cannot see them in the uninstall tab of installer. Here is what i did:

* I used Ziphone and then i installed some apps but after some time I had issues with my installer as i can not see the installer icon.

* I ran Ziphone software to jailbreak again... now i can see my installer icon and its working fine.

* Now i want to uninstall some of the apps which are causing issues. So, I open installer and click on uninstall but there i can only see: BSD subsystem, Installer and Openssh. I cannot see the list of apps that i installed in order to uninstall them. If i click on the apps.. they are working fine but i cant uninstall them..

Is there a way to uninstall the apps that i do not want...thanks

If you havent seen the newest iPhone pics yet from CrunchGear you must be living in a hole. In fact I'm flattered that you have emerged from you cozy, dark, damp and smelly dwelling to read this.

I was chatting with Rob of theapplesauce.com via IM about these leaked photos and he kindly pointed out some reasons that they look like fakes. After looking a bit closer, I am inclined to agree with his analysis. Edit: the more I look at these the faker they are. Edit 2: man these are so fake.

I shall now reveal what looks fake about these photos. The order of the pictures is the order they are posted at the bottom of this post.

Photo 1: The red iPhone has no lock button. No dock port on black iPhone.
Photo 2: The red iPhone has no lock button. No dock port on black iPhone.
Photo 3: The time on the iPhone reads 1:25pm. All previous iPhone images have a time of 9:42. Look at your iPhone box. Also the front camera is square to the page, while the iPhone is at an angle.
Photo 4: It says "Now available for iPhone --- and Windows!
Photo 6: The red iPhone has no lock button. No dock port on black iPhone.
All Pics are in cough cough Photoshop

Of course if these aren't fake there will be a red iPhone and a black iPhone, video conferencing, iChat, and Exchange on the new iPhone. Oh and you'll be able to use iChat on Windows. But these pictures are FAKES so keep speculating.

Guys,

For the life of me, I can't find this thread that had a list of steps on how to install Customize 2.0 on an iphone. It was a list of 10 steps (or something like that) that included uninstalling summerboard, reinstalling it, installing customize, restarting the phone, etc.

It WASN'T the installation thread where you actually install Customize via SSH. It was simply an installation/uninstall guide and gave you the correct order to install apps. I did it on my phone and it worked.

microwave + iphone = solution?

Genuinely considering microwaving phone to exchange for new one because I am getting pissed off trying to fix/restore it. The phone keeps popping out of DFU mode when I'm trying to restore, and yes, winpwn logs have verified that the phone did enter dfu at first, but then it jumps to restore mode without me doing anything.

Before doing so though, I'd like to know if I will run into any problems if I show up without an AT&T sim card in my phone. I can't find the original AT&T sim card that came with the phone. Please advise, thank you.

So apparently the latest firmware got leaked/found, this firmware contains some information regarding the hardware its working on, which leads to some pretty down-to-Earth assumptions of what we'll be seeing on Monday. Here's the rundown:

* Infineon PMB6952 / S-GOLD3 six-band UMTS / HSDPA transceiver (as we'd heard)
* Murata LMRX3JCA-479 tri-band amplifier (we're assuming for the 3G)
* Sony SP9T antenna switch for GSM / UMTS dual mode
* ARM 1176JZF-S - Main CPU (same as in 1st gen iPhone)
* Skyworks 77427 chip - UMTS / HSDPA tx 1900MHz, rx 2100MHz
* Skyworks 77414 chip - UMTS / HSDPA 1900MHz
* Skyworks 77413 chip - UMTS / HSDPA 850MHz
* Internal build model number: n82ap (1st gen iPhone was model m68ap)
* UMTS Power Saving option - on or off
* Hooks for Global Locate Library (GLL), software that handles A-GPS related commands for the host processor

For those that don't care about the guts and want just the rundown of things:
1- It has 3G, but it won't work with T-Mobile's 3G (different range)
2- It doesn't have true GPS, but A-GPS which is better than locate me, but it still uses cell towers to transmit/receive data.

The phone disconnects and reconnects itself during the "Preparing Phone for Software Update" stage, and reboots in recovery mode. Please help. Thank you.

First I would like to say hello to all of you.

I came from XDA-DEVELOPERS forums, I'm an ex HTC TILT/TYTN II customer and will gladly upgrade to iPhone.

I decided to get one because my sister is an iphone user while i was with the HTC Tilt. Often when i had a fue issues with the tilt, I grab my sisters iphone and every time i did, I was like..."Damn this is so much better" and regretting my Tilt.

I got tired of all the delays from my Tilt and the tiny screen and all the complexity of it. I mean, it was nice to have a pocket PC but with SO MANY ISSUES and bad online signal the phone also get's freezed loading an application such as browsing with Opera mini 9.5 and OFTEN i have to soft reset.

What made my decision?

Today while i was having a pain trying to browse using wifi from a restaurant, my sister was watching youtube while I was stuck in a loading screen, then trying to access a normal website such as (Video Game Cheats - Video Game Reviews - Video Game Codes - Video Game Web Site - GameFAQs) everytime I had to log in, the taping on the log in square was not working very well, it had delay and had issues, sometimes it load others wont. Then I got an error from wifi issues and had to soft reset because it got stuck on the loading.

Anyways, I can't deal anymore with this bad manufactured device.

I even had an own HELP! topic with more than 50 pages asking for help. The moderators got tired of watching all my threads and decided to merge all of them together.

I think that the phone i want is the iPhone.

Anyone else from here is an EX HTC Tilt/TytnII customer?

Help Iphone Is Frozen When I Go To Apps

So, earlier today I installed KATE before reading the forums etc...I should have. I also aparently have DOCK as well because it came witht he phone. I bought this phone from a t-mobile store already unlocked so I don't know what they used to unlock it. All I know the firmware i currently have is 1.1.4.

Now here's the repeating problem, when I go to my ANY of my apps I can't even do anything in them. I've been reading the forum for 10 hours now trying to find a solution. I had removed KATE by holding it letting it wiggle and deleting it and it finally worked and went to installer to get rid of the remenants...so it was ok I proceeded to install summerboard to get some themes and then all hell broke loose again...not only that but I noticed in my settings KATE was still there at the bottom!
1. I can't do SSH or WINSCP or w/e because I don't know my Iphone's IP NOR can I get to it because when I go to settings nothing works....
2. I can't either IBrickrs to work with my phone because one is for 1.0.2 and I can't find the firmware for that and the other is the new 1.1.3 on with softupgrade but I can't use that either because it tells me to need to jailbreak, but I already have installer on my iphone of course I can't go to installer either because when I click on it nothing works in there...
3. I've tried re-booting all day forced or hard etc all kinds nothing worked.

I think I have tried all the methods either that or I'm just missing something. I just want a way where I can manually get into my iphone via the computer and delete the dock and kate application for good! HELP

Help iPhone Keeps Crashing

I have a 1.1.4 OTB iphone that i'm currently using with AT&T and recently jailbroke it using ZiPhone and it was working great for 3 weeks until today when out of nowhere it gave me an error saying your iphone is unable to make/receive calls and you must contact Apple Support. So I went and tried to restore through iTunes and it will not restore it gives me an unknown error 1003 so I tried re-jailbreaking through ZiPhone and it worked and I was able to make/receive for a few hours and now its doing the same thing again. I just want to get this back working to the state it was out of the box. Also now when I go into about the phone it doesn't recognize the baseband or IMEI information once its crashed. Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks.

Iphone Backup Questions...Ghost Backup of Iphone?

I was just wondering if anyone has tried this...

I am considering upgrading to 1.1.4 from 1.1.1 with an unlocked iPhone. I would like to make a complete backup of the iPhone's file system first before I do this. I know its possible to make a ghost image of a hard-drive or flash key using Ghost8 or Ghost10...but is it possible to make an image of the IPhone? I really have no idea what kind of filesystem is used on the Iphone (i.e. NTFS, FAT, or Extended)...or if it even matters to ghost. Has anyone tried this, or is this just nonsense?? I have a lot of experience with Ghost and ideally I think this would work if the PC's motherboard would recognize the Iphone as a removable flash drive.

Also..does anyone know what the iTunes backup does??? Does it backup any of the applications, or just songs and user settings? What kind of format is the backup in...does it make a compressed archive when the backup is completed?? How long does the backup process take?

Upgrade from 1.1.1 to 1.1.4...or 2.0?

Hi there, I hope somebody can help me...

I purchased my Iphone back in October when I was down in the states on a training course, and I have been enjoying it ever since. When purchased, my Iphone had firmware version 1.1.1 on it so I jailbroke it and ran AnySim to unlock the simcard to work with Rogers. So far everything is doing great but i'm noticing that a lot of 3rd party applications wont install on 1.1.1 anymore and they require firmware 1.1.4 to run.

My question is this...should I upgrade to 1.1.4 or should I just wait for the firmware version 2.0 to be released and hacked/jailbroken??

It may take a long time for 2.0 to be released and hacked, so I am thinking I should just go ahead and upgrade to 1.1.4. Besides..I think I have been missing out on all the benefits of 1.1.4 since its release.The problem is...I have been out of the unlocking/hacking game since October so I have no idea how to upgrade to 1.1.4 and jailbreak it. I know I can load up iTunes and it asks me to upgrade to 1.1.4, but I am afraid if I do that I will loose all my 3rd party applications and revert back to a virginized iphone. Will I need to run AnySim again to make the phone work with a Rogers sim card? Perhaps all I need to do is just run a patch or something (Zi-phone???) before I connect to Itunes and upgrade to 1.1.4? Do I need to upgrade to 1.1.3 before I can go to 1.1.4???

Yeah so I wanna join the Navy but my ASVAB scores werent that great so I have to retake the test again and score at least a 50.

The questions are so hard and ridiculous Im not dumb at all means I mean im the type of guy who would build an entire computer from the ground up and not have any help or anything like that when I was like 14 years old. I dont think thats being dumb, I just have a hard time when it comes to putting my thoughts on paper and taking test.

So what does this mean for the iPhone/iPod touch? Well nothing right now. But it could one day replace the OS that is currently running on your ipod/iphone. Why would I want Android on my ipod? Well for starters we are very limited when it comes to how we use are devices. You can only use iTunes to transfer music. There is no access to the device other than itunes. Everything we do to the device is governed by apples rules. You can always jailbreak your device to gain access to those options. But then apple always comes along with an update and we all know far to well the headaches that come along with that. wouldn't it be nice to have something just as nice to look at and just as feature packed as apples OS. But without the governing of apple.

This is were Android would benefit us all . You could choose not to use itunes. How you want it to look how you want it to act. Things like customize and somerboard and all your favorite apps could be written for it and installed with no one trying to stop you. The options would be limitless. No more worrying about how the next update is going to affect you. The best part is its open. So while it may not look like much now if and when it makes its way to the iphone it will be so much more then what we have now. All the things we love about are iphone/ipod are build into android. Support for touch screen, exeliromitor ext.

How is this coming to the iphone? Well weather they know it or not iphone Linux, android and the iphone-dev team are working together to make it happen. The iphone Linux team is currently working on getting Linux up and running on the iPhone. making the drivers all the dirty work Main Page - IPhone Linux . While android which has all the features needed for the iphone and is based on a Linux kernel is set to release by the end of this year. Android and the iphone dev team has already released an application that in theory would eventually give us the ability to install any OS.

I think more people should be developing for android. Its better for the developer and its better for the consumer. Why you ask? Mainly there is no one governing what you can and can not do. which eliminates the need for a "Jailbreak" and gives the user and the developer unlimited freedom. Without the worry of weather or not they can or will be able to support there product.

Well i've just opened my iphone a couple of hours ago to change change the earpiece speaker,and now everything works except the fact that i can't sync or charge my iphone.When i plug it into the docking station it tells me "This accesory is not made to work with the IPhone" but when i remove the cable from the back of the docking station and plug that in it doesn't say anything.So what could be the problem?what should i look for(hardware related) tomorrow when i'll open it up again?

BTW the dock worked before i opened the iphone so i think that the problem is whit a cable or the bottom of the iphone or something....please help

So i didnt pay my bill and my phone got turned off. I paid the bill today and the service was turned back on while my phone was one but edge didnt appear. So I turned it off then on and went into settings and right under the wifi setting it said "Network" so I clicked it and it said "Automatic" "AT&T" & "AT&T" again...really weird so I go out of settings and go back in and its gone...it was pretty cool though :)

I am having a little trouble that I hope someone can help me with. In customize under: customize images/sounds - wallpaper - locked screen wallpaper - original back-up- there is only one option so now I am not able to pick another image and use that for my locked screen image. It keeps defaulting to that one image. How do fix it so I can choose an image? Does anyone else have this problem? Help would be much appreciate. Thanks!

I bought my iPhone in October. It has worked pretty much flawlessly except once when I had to return it b/c it overheated and died. The iPhone I have now is fine except for the vibrate feature has just quit working. I was going to return the iPhone, but I don't know if I should wait until the 3G is released. What will happen if I return it after 3G is released? I bought whatever Apple warranties there were and I bought a 3rd party insurance policy that covers accidental damage. I want to know what I should do about this problem. Anybody work for Apple or at an Apple Store know what your policy is? Thanks for the help.

Creating Custom Controls

Hi,

For my application I need a color picker control. I subclassed UIControl, and it works fine:

But then, I placed the color picker in a cell of a table, and now seemingly it doesn't call the touchesMoved:withEvent method. Because of that I cant "slide" the slider along the color bar. Funnily enough the touchesBegan:withEvent seems to be called, because when I tap the color bar, the slider jumps to the tapped place.
Could somebody help mo out, please? How do I have to handle moving touches like the UISlider control does?

EDIT: I've found a temporary solution. If I set the UITableView's scrollEnabled property to NO, then it works. But I wonder why the UISlider works even if scrolling is enabled...

It seems that whatever Quanta is moving lately is keeping their facility packed. Outside, the roughly 168,000-square-foot facility boxes were piled in one parking lot in the early summer sunshine. Distinctive white boxes labeled "iMac" and bearing the Apple logo were stacked 10 deep alongside 20 pallets of identical unmarked brown boxes roughly stacked 10 deep and four abreast.

The real action, however, took place behind the building--and could only be seen from the parking lot of an adjacent company on the other side of a shallow creek. I have an iPhone that I unlocked using iLiberty on a mac. After the phone was updated to 1.1.4 and unlocked I could not get signal with an att or a t-mobile sim. I tried restoring the phone to 1.1.4 again and just activated and jailbreak to use my activated att sim. I still could not get signal with the phone restored/activated and my att sim. I don't even get a message of wrong sim with the phone activated/not unlocked with a non-att sim(t-mobile). I have tried the restore script on installer to restore the baseband, restored to 1.1.4 using itunes, and then activated using iLiberty, still no signal. This phone worked fine with the acticvated sim it came with before all the modding. Any ideas on how I can fix it?

Settings Screen Locked Up

Hello everyone,

I did a couple searches before starting a new thread and couldn't find anyone with the same problem as me. For some reason my settings screen keeps locking up. In addition my phone will randomly lock up and I will need a hard reset in order to get it working again.

I have restored the phone multiple times and after the restore I haven't used a previous backup (started as a new phone). All this still doesn't seem to cure the problem.

contact photo not dissapearing

So, I have a couple of apps in my 8GB iPhone and I was wondering the easiest and best way to uninstall some.

Also I'm trying to learn more about the file structure.

When uninstalling an APP I know of the uninstaller inside of "Installer". But I was wondering if these apps simply only created there .app folder and that’s it? hence being safe to delete them and consider it uninstalled. Or is there more to it?

Can some one explain to me a little more about the installation process and folders structures?

As I flick through all my apps on my jailbroken iPhone i am constantly interrupted by awkward warnings of expiration dates, demos, and basically having to pay for a lot of apps now-a-days. lamentably I am sick of this, and the way I see it is I rather pay apple the money... after all they seem to make stuff that works, (saddly not the case of alot of apps) and so i am going back to apple firmware not because I have some hate towards modding or anything of the sort I simply do not want to pay for apps that run on mods.

How many stupid threads will people start when 2.0 comes out?!

In light of the fact that 2.0 is just around the corner and everyone is SUPER excited about it I thought I'd start this thread. I have seen so many people saying they are going to go up to 2.0 RIGHT AWAY. Most people are on 1.1.2 - 1.1.4 and have heavily modded their phones. Many people will upgrade to 2.0 with pwnage (or whatever) shortly after the method to do so becomes public. What these people don't realize is Installer, Cydia, and every other app written is for the old file framework and will FREAK OUT when the realize they can't install anything on their phone until the developers have re-written and complied their apps for the 2.0 file framework.

So how many people are going to start threads with titles such as "How do I get Installer on 2.0?" or "I tried to SSH my apps and nothing works" or of course "OMG 2.0 sucks, how do I go back to 1.1.4, I get iTunes error XXXX when I try and restore".

How to rearranging icons on my springboard ?

I just jailbroke my Ipod Touch 16gb 1 day ago, I did it with the Ziphone-program. which all in all worked... But !
Im pretty annoyed over the Icons I now have on my springboard especially the Zibri-Icon ( since it really dosent do anything worth while ). which lead me to the problem of moving and rearranging the Springboard Icons.
I started looking for videos on youtube for user-guides and found some very great ones, but all of them referre to sourses / apps that I dont have.
so now I ask:

What do I need to do to get the needed apps for moving and rearranging my springboard icons ?

I have the following app installed: ( jailbroken with Ziphone )
Instaler ( ofc. )
Summerboard
Customise

p.s. I have DL'ed Categories ( it helped some ) but still would to be able to move icons and get more pages in my springboard

if im not mistaken, the super bluetooth hack will not work on iphones, correct? i caught someone in the process of trying to load it onto my phone tonight and im not sure if i caught it in time. im pretty sure it wont work on an iphone and i never have bluetooth enabled on my phone. so am i safe or do i need to do something about this? would getting the phone replaced sove the problem, or is the program downloaded to the sim card?

So close but yet so far..

my iphone is 1.1.4, upgraded from 1.1.2 OTB
my baseband is 04.04.05 G
and my current bootloader is 4.6 (week 46)
I used Liberty+ to 'unlock'/activate/jailbreak (did this 'successfully' - thru to 'enjoy' at the end)

My problem is that everything on the iphone seems to be fine except that I have a NO SIGNAL status that appears where my carrier (optus australia) should be and I cant make/receive calls or sms.

Can anyone advise what I should do? Is this a bootload issue? very confused..
Do I need to downgrade bootloader from 4.6 to 3.9?

Something that I've been thinking about is whether its better to wait for the 2.0 firmware before jailbreaking?

I've had a look at whats coming and there's not really anything interesting in it, apart for the multi-select email thing. I image if I go to 2.0 it'll be a while before the great hackers will find a good safe jailbreak code without any bugs etc.

Anyone thoughts on the 2.0 firmware?

I'm about to jailbreak my 1.1.4 iphone (already activated) using iLiberty and all I want to do is jailbreak the phone - I'm not interested unlocking the sim/phone at all.

Therefore in the options I only need to check the 2 following box's:
- Jailbreak
- Cydia (I want to install ssh and some apps)

Do I need anything else?

Hi all, my iphone is balls with springboard and skin problems thus I really need to reset and start a fresh. However I am a little out of touch on the jailbreak/unlock methods of later i.e. PWNED etc.

Basically my iphone was running 1.1.3 and was jail broken and unlocked by Ziphone 2.6.

I didn�t realise at the time but I read later that this might have downgraded my bootloader, and that this could cause problems in future.

As I say I am a bit out of touch and I'm worried about going to 1.1.4 and bricking my iphone or something.

Can anyone advise if the there is likely to be any problems after using ziphone. Remember I do need to jailbreak and unlock.

Finally what is the best tool to do this nowadays? The lasted version of Ziphone? PWNED?

I dont know if this means anything but when my phone was working it said the bootloader was 4.6 in BBinfo. does that mean it didnt downgrade?

Ok, I've been reading up and I’m guessing pwnage is the best solution and this can upgrade my boot loader back to 4.6 if I wish to run that minor risk of something going wrong.

I'm guessing I will need to restore my iphone to 1.1.4 (from my broken 1.1.3) before I start the whole pwnage process. Correct me if I am wrong?

Well we've heard a lot of rumors about the new iPhone. Most of them tell us that it will be bigger than the first generation but ilounge has gotten the scoop from a Taiwanese company that claims they are manufacturing the screens for the new iPhone. If this is to be believed then we might see not only the new 3g iPhone on monday, but also an iPhone mini.

The displays in the picture above are 2.8" and 3.2" both smaller than the current 3.5" display of the first generation iPhone. Not only are these displays smaller, but Host also claims these displays are more durable and longer lasting than the current displays being more waterproof, plus resistant to high humidities and temperatures, and without any aging effect meaning the screens will no lose touch sensitivity over time.

As you can see Host isn't just claiming to be supplying the screens, but also has manufactured some already as you can see from the picture evidence. They also included a diagram of the screen below. Now anyone can claim to be a manufacturer of Apple components in Apple doesn't openly reveal their suppliers and typically suppliers don't reveal that they are working for Apple, but in this case if Host isn't producing these screens for Apple they sure have gone through a lot of work to attach themselves to the Apple name.

OMG PLEASE HELP GUYS... i was about to do a backup of all the files on my iPhone so that if anything went wrong i would have the backup. Unfortunately i accidentally clicked on copy from source directory rather than remote directory and it started deleting files off of my phone before i realised it was doing it. I have lost all of the files and some folders located in /_MACOSX/ (no files left in /_MACOSX/Applications/ at all).

What are my chances of one of you backing up this folder and zipping it up for me to download, its desperately needed.

now sometimes the volume decreasing by itself, for that I have to press the decrease volume button and increase it again, then make it standby then it will be Ok..

However to be honest I have not been following the forums lately (I got lazy). And I was wondering this, I am currently on ver. 1.1.3 (Jailbroken) and I possibly wanted to go to 1.1.4 while I was at it. Any tips to make it easier? Or do I need to go clear back to 1.1.1 again? From what I can figure out:
1. Save photos, sync all contacts and calendars.
2. In iTunes, restore the iPhone.
3. Run iLiberty+ to jailbreak to allow 3rd party apps.

Right?

When I restore, where will I indicate it's a new phone?
When I run iLiberty, should I quit iTunes or will that happen by itself?

In iLiberty+, under Utilities should I:
1. Reflash Edge/WiFi/Bluetooth?
2. Uupgrade Bootloader from 3.9FB to 4.6?

My desktop is a G5 iMac, if that matters.

I know iphone screen goes black when it near my ear while talking on the phone,
but still, the scren sometimes shows up because i move around my phone while talking... so the result is i always accidently touch the screen while talking...

is it possible to mod the system files and let iphone automatically lock the screen after answering or dail the call?

p.s. i know i can press the button on the top to lock the screen while talking, but its too trouble to do it everytime, so i think if there is a way to modify the system files and let it lock screen automatically.

okay so it all started last night i think...i had many many apps and was happily installing some more apps when i recieved a text...so i hit the reply and then it went to the sms loading type screen....and then froze....so i reset it after waiting a few minutes...and it was sloww to start up.../slide to unlock took like 5 seconds to register...along with all my other touching actions...so slow...so i reset it again...and it stayed on my boot logo....so i restored it...started installing more apps again and wham does it again...restored again...hapily works for like 3 hours and wham, again...this was after installing like 6 apps...and now its prety much unusable.. it resprings every like 2 minutes...and is veryyyy slow....it seems responsive the first 15 seconds or so when it boots up...but then it gets laggy....

any suggestionss?

Sorry I couldn't be more specific in the title, I'm just freaking out a little bit right now. I don't know what happened to my phone but I'm hoping someone can help me. This problem just happened (I'm assuming because I dropped it, but it was from like 3 feet onto carpet) and when I picked it up it said "This accessory is not made to work with iPhone". I clicked past it and slid to unlock, but now my home button doesn't work. It clicks in but it won't register. I know that it's not completely messed up because if I hold the top button and the home button for 7 seconds the phone resets. When I plug the phone into my computer it doesn't register, itunes doesn't do anything, it just says "This accessory..." on my phone and that's it. If I shut it down and then start it up again it says connect ro itunes, but that doesn't work. I can't factory reset it because I can't get itunes to recognize it. I'm kind of freaking out. Is there anywhere I can ssh into it and reset? Any ideas? Thanks guys

Edit: on top of this it tells me I have no service. I can get wifi but no edge. Did I brick my phone just by dropping it?

Hi, I have an ipod touch, jailbroken, with a lot of apps. It is currently synced to an old computer, which we just bought a replacement for. We will be getting rid of the old one. When I sync it to the new computer, will I lose my apps and music? if so, is there any way to prevent this? This is a problem because I have been using my school's wi-fi for about 5 minutes a day for several months to get these. :(

So, i finally got sick of ziphone and decided i wanted my baseband back. Someone suggested restoring to 1.0.2 so i tried it.
I put my phone into DFU mode, I connected it to itunes, Restore+shift, selected 1.0.2 firmware. It looked like it was going well, however, when i get to the "waiting for iphone" stage it takes forever and will never progress. Any help? And yes, i did jump from 1.1.4 straight to 1.0.2.

iPhone shuts off whenever it's on sleep

Is there a fix for iPhones shutting off when it's on sleep. It doesn't do it all the time but whenever it's left on sleep for a long time, it would just turn off. When i got into videos after about 1 minute of watching the video the sound cuts out and soon after it crashes back to the list of videos. Also my music sometimes lags... Anyway to fix this?

Ok Just Have A Question...i Used Ziphone To Unlock My Phone Then I Downgraded The Bootloader,using Ziphone After The Unlock,then I Jailbroke It Using Iliberty...just Was Wondering If It Was Ok To Use 2 Different Programs On My Phone...it Seems To Have Worked...i Used Iliberty To Jailbreak It Because Ziphone Does Not Yet Unlock 1.1.4 Firmware......or Does It...i Know Ibrikr Cant Be Used On 1.1.4...please Someone Give Me Ur Input,opinion Or Knowledge...thanks In Advance!!!

customize problem

i was downloading the new leaf theme. i got a phone call, then when i was off the phone i tried to apply the theme. but i guess it didnt download it all because its just stuck loading. so i restarted the iphone and its stuck on the apple logo loading. any suggestions?

I downloaded the program but I can't figure out how to install it. I tried just uploading it to the app folder but the program won't open. It tries to and closes. How should I do it?

ok, my iPhones on ebay like many other people right now.

1 thing, i restored my phone, thought all was cushty, looking through it for 1 last time and noticed that my itunes account automatically gets updated to the iphone.

i dont want the buyer of my iphone to have my itunes account, he could spend loads of my �� !!!!

is there a way to jailbreak/unlock/activate without adding an itunes account or removing the itunes account?

i did search but couldnt find anything ... if someone could point me in the right direction...

im sure most people have either had this problem already or have it right now...

Anyone working on one? Could be pretty amazing with proper sounds and possibly a vwallpaper background featuring a hulk figure breathing and making slight movements. I think the Leaf theme reminded me of the idea.

Some Application Icons Don't Change in Customize 2.0

I like Customize 2.0 except for the fact that some of the application icons wont change, nor are they recognized by Customize as being installed apps and thus eligible to change. I know the apps in question have appropriate icons, folders, permissions, etc installed properly, but it just wont recognize it as being there. Any one know any answers?

iTouch mail app problem

Hi

I have a jailbroken 1.1.3, I have used some few times the mail app and was able to get mails. But suddenly the app stop syncing. I checked the Preferences - Mail settings, and found out that the account previously set up there was gone, so I set it up again, but when I close Prefs, and enter again, the mail account settings are gone again.

How can I fix this problem?

I Just install the Vista Perfection 2.04 Theme, but I got an error: "Main Script Execution Failed!". (Ver. 1.1.4)

The theme seems to work fine (I think), but now I can't uninstall it because it doesn't appear at the Uninstall list.
