now that I have a jaibreaked iPhone with 2.0 firmware, I would like to disable the keyboard auto-correction feature. The method that worked before (for firmware 1.x) do not seem to work anymore.
The old way doesn't work anymore, but there is a temporary solution which worked for me. I simply renamed "TextInput_de.bundle" to "TextInput_de.backup" to disable german auto-correction.

until we find the way to switch it on/off you can do the following:
under /System/Library/Textinput/ rename specific bundle for the keyboard that you are using
example:
if you want to disable Autocorection on an English keyboard US or GB, rename (or backup on your hard drive) file "TextInput_en.bundle"

Afterwards, connect with a SFTP-Client of your choice (Transmit, Cyberduck,...) to your iPhone. There is a little SSH-HowTo in the main screen of Cydia which explains it, too.
how can i look into the iphone's file directory?
moreover, i haven't jailbroken my 3G (yet)...kinda waiting for the winpwn2.5...ugh!
but the auto correction is driving me insane NOW!

There is an install in installer 4 now for this so that you dont have to go through all of that. i dont know how many people know that but its available to download
Anyone knows the name of the app in installer 4 which disables the autocorrection?
And is it also equipped with an extra preferences-item? like the old "KB"-app for 1.x.x.
