weTool (and weToolUS)

One of the main limitations of the current iPhone firmware version is the inability to forward SMS messages and to send a message to mutiple recipients at once. Both of these have been taken care of in a very nice way by the native application weTool and weToolUS (for US iPhones to recognize international format +xxx-...). You can get these by adding the source http://app.weiphone.com/installer. Version 0.3.6.2 beta that I have tested works quite nicely. The user interface is professionally done. Only, one small issue: it seems that when you forward an SMS to a contact listed the "Contacts" list, the profile of that contact must have the mobile number as the first listed number, otherwise the SMS is never delivered (even though it appears as if it has be sent). Has anybody exprienced this same problem? Other than this small issue, weTool is perfect.
P.S. You can also type directly a number to forward to, you don't have to use the Contacts list.

I've had the same issue.

It also seems like you can send out multiple SMS to several contacts, if you separate them by a comma. I only tried two, but it seemed to work.

Can anyone else verify this?

i'm trying to download it via installer and download with explorer without sucess since yesterday.
When i try with installer it takes A LOT (i mean about 5 mins and it's only 200k) and then it says something like 'download failed (NULL)'
I don't have any problems with other apps.

anyone knows why? I'm in uruguay.
Is there some mirror for downloading?

Yea, some people are recieving the "mass" text while others are not. Such as my girlfriend with an iphone, hopefully they will get this corrected! Great app other than that.

I've noticed that i have problem sending ANY type of text out of the weTool app to Verizon wireless customers.

However T-mobile customers (in a mutliple batch or a single foward) work fine.

Eldany, the site does seem to be a bit slow, but eventualy it works. You might want to disable autolock or keep your finger on the screen for a few minutes to keep the download going without interuption.
