last time i restore my iPhone i have to send the phone to shop to unlock it and spend almost 40 dollars!!! can i do it my self if i want to restore it again??

I'm kinda new to this fourm thing so i hope this is the right section. I know this may be a crazy ques but can the iphone be unlocked to work with verizon as well although they are not on gsm network? Thanks for any help on this!

Hi lads.

I'm a complete novice at this iphone stuff. Recently I bought an unlocked iphone and it is 1.1.4
Is there anyway for me to check what version it was originally or what method was used to unlock it?
The phone works fine at the moment other than a few niggling annoyances (like having to SSH in every time I want to change a wallpaper and genearlly I have no idea how to enable themes properly as only parts of them enable for me, but I'm sure I'll find answers to these in forums)
My question here, is there any problems that I should be aware of in regards to how my phone was unlocked and if there are certain things I should or shouldn't do to avoid getting bricked (ie updating or restoring etc)

idk well ziphone when it first came out was very good. did the job and everythinh. i used it on my iphone 1.1.4.. it work.. nothing is wrong with my iphone so i dont see what the big deal is with ziphone.. i had my phone since march. so yea. i'm not going to use it again but still ziphone was amazing when it first came out..
