OK, maybe I just didn't find it yet.
But I desperately want a SMB or NFS or AFP client for the iPhone/touch.
Why?
First, I want to be able to browse the stuff on my servers.
Second (and even more important), imagine putting one of those WLAN-equipped HDs in your car and being able to turn your iPhone/touch from an 8GB to a 758GB iPhone/touch!
There are 2,5" WLAN-equipped HD housings from Yakumo and Asus, they run Linux.
This guy did that and (site is in german) now runs his stuff on Windows Mobile. You could even run
openDAAP on that thing, having a "regular" iTunes shared Library...
But still, I'd rather just like an SMB client 'cause for me it'd be most versatile. (did i put that right? it looks kinda weird...)
Can't be too hard to port, can it?
om.
