*NEW* Incase Slider Case Pictures and Review
So I just got my new iPhone, the old one was acting up and not restoring, and was looking for a case to keep this new one protected. I saw that Incase just came out with this slider case so I decided to pick it up and check it out. Just got back from the Apple Store and snapped some pictures. Sorry they're a little dark, I may take some with the 50mm and post those up later, which will be much sharper and lighter.
First thing, this case has a great glossy finish and feels pretty solid. When putting it on the iPhone it is a really tight squeeze and takes some force to push the iPhone into the top part of the case. I'm not sure if it is like this with the Agent 18 slider case. I've never owned the incase rubber case, but have handled many with it on.
This case is pretty much the same bulkiness as the rubber protection shield from incase, may be a little bigger, but not by much. I will be checking out my friends tomorrow to compare. Like this case there is no rubber on the exterior so it does not stick to your pocket. Incase claims rubber protection in all the corners. I figured there would be little rubber pockets inside the case on each of the corners. There is in fact no rubber in the physical features. I am guessing they have it built between the inside and outside plastic. The bottom sliding piece is very sturdy and will in no way just slide off. You also need some force to pull that off, but not as much as putting the iPhone in the initial case.
There is an opening for the bottom connecter, Vibrate button, Volume buttons, Headphone jack, and Power/Stanby button. Features an incase logo about 1/4 down from the top of the case on the back. I have the white case, but have heard people with the black case have problems with fingerprints showing up, but this is not the case with this color.
Let me know if you guys would like anymore information.
Hope this helps,
Phiberglass

How much? Any other colors? Size compared to the Agent 18 case?
I used to have the Agent 18 ECO case until I found out it scratched the bezel while putting/taking off the case. Does this case do scratch also??
I really like the glossy finish.

It was 35, only comes in black/white, not sure about size compared to the agent 18, have never used that case. I have seen no scratches yet.

Ya no problem. My apple store had a few left in stock, so it looks like they're selling pretty good. It came out less than a week ago and I'm sure they didn't get shipments until a few days ago.

I have the rubber one like...right in front of me. How would you compare the two? This might be my new buddy case.

Well, compared to the rubber it's pretty much about the same thickness. I am not a fan of rubber since it always get stuck when trying to put it in and out of my pocket, and after a while the rubber starts to deteriorate and attract dust and what not. I would definitely recommend this case over the rubber one. You may not get as good as a grip as the rubber one, but I would much rather sacrifice that for this case.

Gah. Do they sell these anywhere else besides the Apple store? The closest one is about an hour away.

It says on their site that apple/target stores are verified retailers, so i'm sure a target has to be close to you. I would recommend going there if it's closer than apple store, or calling before hand and asking for the new incase slider case.

I'll offer some advice from experience...
If you're using the Invisible Shield on the back of your iPhone, you'd better decide between either the Incase/Agent18 OR the Invisible Shield. I have the Invisible Shield on the back of my iPhone and I use the Incase rubber case and I've loved it. I bought one of the Agent18 cases to see if I'd like it better, and soon found out it wouldn't fit with the Invisible Shield! After some effort, I got it on there, but it was almost permanent it was so tight. Not being happy with that, I had to cut the Agent18 case off, and I wrecked my Invisible Shield at the same time. Luckily, my iPhone was unscathed.
So kids, the moral of the story is, that since the Agent18 and Incase Slider cases fit so precisely snug to the iPhone, don't have an Invisible Shield on there before you try to install it...

Incase does not sell to any one but Apple. They are exclusive to Apple products and have been since '97.
I prefer my Agent 18 case over this one. A bunch of the Genii at my store got it when it released and they have been pretty happy. I am going to take a look at it to see how it compares this week.
The next case I have been looking at getting is the PowerSupport case and holster.

for those using this new case and a screen film, is there an overlap from the case covering the film, or can the film be removed with the case still on?
thanks
