Chris Miles' iSolitaire now on App Store...

It's called Top 3 (unfortunate name and ugly icon IMO). Hey Chris, if you're reading this, I'LL make you an icon for free that doesn't obscure what your app is all about. Peep me at rknydesign.com.
Anyhow, this guy Chris is a class act. He obviously put a lot of unpaid effort into the Installer version. A ton of us enjoyed his work gratis. Now he's released an improved version of iSolitaire, for sale now on the App Store.
Unlike some other devs who simply ported their app over and now want money, Miles has wisely offered some value over the Installer version. The new version not sports Klondike, but includes FreeCell and Spider. The graphics are spruced up and game play is the same solid experience the free version was.
One oddly implemented (and hopefully updated) but nice feature is portait mode. Unfortunately the app opens in landscape mode, but rotated, meaning you have to manually scale it to fit portait mode. And then the bottom of the screen is empty.
Show your support for the good ol' Installer devs and give Top 3 a shot! I hope Chris makes some serious bux.

I'm hoping people like "Solitaire Top 3" which is based on iSolitaire but includes more features and 2 other games; FreeCell and Spider...

I haven't checked the app on the store just yet, but iSolitaire is/was fantastic. I was wondering if Solitaire Top 3 will/might have themes like the previous incarnation had? Love the Family Guy one.

I'm very glad I can now confirm this is from the same dev as iSolitaire. I was holding out on the rest because they didn't seem up to the quality iSolitaire brought. Will be picking this up on my lunch break, as this was my favorite offline app to use. Thanks for getting it on the app store so quickly!!!

Chris, I badly want to purchase this app, but for some reason I can't find it on the Appstore.
When I click on your app link from your site, it opens iTunes & the Appstore, but I get the following message:
The item you've requested is not currently available in the South African Store.
Why would apple have apps available in one regions store and not in another?
Anyone know any way around this?

Did you try to click on the buy app button instead? I have seen that also but not in the African Store.... Then one time I just clicked the buy app and it worked. |
