Ok, so I don't know the criteria needed for one of these, so I'm just going to wing it haha.
What it is: AOL radio is a free application that enables you to listen to multiple genres of music, provided you have a wi-fi connection.
Selection: AOL radio provides a vast selection of genres, and sub genres to fit your music taste. For example: You click on the "Metal" genre, and you are prompted to choose from more specific styles, such as "Black Metal" or "All Slayer". there is basically every type of music imaginable, from Kid's music to the All B.I.G. station.
On top of AOL Radio stations, CBS Radio has provided their variety of stations also. Some local stations are also listed.
Info: every track played provides album art, title, artist, and album name. Also, there is independent volume control and a stop/play button.
There are occasionally a few commercials, but it's nothing to worry about. They probably last about a minute total.
Bugs: So, some bugs that I've found. every once in a while, it will lose connection. Mostly when you leave it running for long periods of time.
Also, the app tends to freeze up, but still plays music when left running for a long time. Like, you can't push buttons to got back or anything, and may be forced to restart your iPhone/iPod.
Conclusion: I recommend this app to anyone who wants to listen to what they want, when they want. It is also a very good substitute for Sirius or XM (minus the comedy stations). It runs fairly smooth, and has a familiar interface. All in all, a very good application.
