Question about Cydia Installer

I put the Cydia installer on my iPhone (1.14) and afterwards noticed under the "Uninstall" option that I have all of the following software (from the Cydia installer, I believe) on my phone. I was propmted to updated sources after getting the Cydia installer on my phone, and I think I may have opted to install some of this stuff. Anyways, is any of the following needed to make the Cydia installer function properly on my iPhone? If not, I will delete it to free up space.

adv-cmds
APT
ArmFloating Point
Base Structure
Berkley DB
Bourne Again Shell
Core Utilities
Darwin Tools
diskdev-emds
dpkg
gawk
gettext
GNU Privacy Guard
grep
gzip
inetutils
iPhone FIrmware
less
libresolv
libutil
libxml2
nano
network.cmds
New Curses
open ssl
pcre
read line
rsync
sedshell-cmds
system-cmds
Tape Archive
unzip
zip

Yes, they're all a part of Cydia, including full unix libraries which is used instead of BSD Subsystem (if you already had BSD Subsystem installed, it's okay, Cydia has taken care of that).

I also noticed that Cydia automatically moves itself, and all the 3rd party apps to the bigger part of the iPhone's partition. This is the same partition that your media users. We're talking a few MB here, compared to GB of free space.

hijacking the thread a little...

On a related note: Does Cydia include a terminal program??

It would be great to issue these wonderful unix commands from the iphone itself... I haven't been able to identify it if there is, and ended up reusing Term-vt100 from Installer.

sadly summerboard is one app that I have not seen on cydia yet. Not sure why. I think customize (for 1.1.4 and earlier) was on at one point . Haven't looked recenty.
To find apps in cydia go to all packages and scroll down.
