Don’t care much for the Pwnage Tool’s pineapple boot logo. Would you rather have the Retro (multi-colored) Apple boot logo that was shown in the Pwnage Tool’s demonstration video? Here’s how you can get it.
Right-click or Option-click on the Pwnage Tool app on your computer and select “Show Package Contents”.
Click into “Contents” then “Resources”.
Here you will see a few different folders for different Apple firmwares. You must select the correct folder for your device and firmware version. Example: If you are using an iPhone on version 1.1.4 select the folder named “iPhone1,1_1.1.4_4A102″.
Then simply copy the logo that you downloaded earlier into this folder. Select “Replace” when it asks you if you want to replace the current file.
Launch and run the Pwnage Tool app as you would normally do. This time after your phone gets “pwned” it will reboot with the new Retro Apple Logo instead of the pineapple and any custom IPSW files you make with the Pwnage Tool will also have the new logo.
Windows
There is currently no Pwnage Tool for the Windows OS. When one is released we will have a guide up for it!
