which firmware are u on? If ur having problems with it its probably because ur on a newer version and its placing it in the wrong location. U have to manually do it. Put it in system/library/carrierbundles/att_us.bundle somethin like that.

you can either download the modded customize version out on some sources or you can download the original installer and use make it mine to switch your carrier to iPod and that seems to work on most.
