Renaming Labels on iPhone 1.1.4

I'm very very very sorry if this question has been answered before but I was just wondering, how would one change the labelling of the icons, ie how would one change the label 'Text' to SMS on your iPhone?

Yeah i have read that screws up the phone if you do this for certain apps like swirly for example... is there another way apart from actually renaming the .app file?

The App name is listed in several different places. The .app folder itself, the app inside the folder, the Info.plist, and the Display Order .plist, you'd have to change them all.
