Setting up a main loop

Hello,

At the moment my main function calls UIApplicationMain to create the application and start an event handling loop.

Ideally I'd like my app to have a "main loop" instead. Would anyone be able to say if that's possible or point me in the right direction?

Thanks for your time,
Peter

I'm sure it is probably possible, but most Cocoa apps don't override the event loop in this way. If you want something running without the user triggering it manually, you can use NSTimers and/or a new thread to do that.

Thanks for your reply. I'm currently using a timer which seems to work pretty well.
