My first iPod was a 5th gen 60gb iPod video =), boy that thing was sweet. I installed rockbox on it and played gameboy.

Personally, my first iPod was my phone, 1.1.2 OTB 8GB. Got it from my parents for Christmas not really sure as to if I'd like it, however I did. Then, after two months it became less interesting... Then came jailbreaking. Been happily running 1.1.3 jailbroken until yesterday, now on 1.1.4 iLiberty+ Jailbroken with AT&T contract.

There have been a few Apple products in my family before this, though.
