so??
the new iphone as pointed about my their new patent will have so much more capabilty that could be ported onto ipod touch, mayb it will all come in one big package, prferably NOT ONE WE HAVE TO PAY FOR, i mean it will digital streeming, the patent also covers their own version of inteliscreen so i think something bigs guna happen for my beloved ipod touch besides maybe selling it for an iphone

I don't believe that any new updates will be coming to the iTouch (except for June 9th of course) just because if they were going to do something like that, they'd at least wait until it was about 12-14 months old, just so that they could sink all the money out of it they could now. If it's released in a firmware update, I doubt that it would be free. Isn't the 2.0 update being charged for? I'm not entirely sure on that.... If they do make a 2nd gen iTouch, then they would wait as I said earlier, just so that they could charge people money now for the iTouch, because they might be lowering the price after the 2nd gen comes out (if ever). But yeah. I don't think that there will be a 2nd gen iTouch out for a couple more months yet.

Would be nice if the Touch gets a bigger capacity, I would have bought an iPod Touch if the capacity was 100GB+

if the capacity of a ipod touch were to be 100+gb, then it would have to be ALOT thicker and would not have as smooth of a playback as it does now with flash. personally, im happier with the ipod touch as a flash drive rather than hard drive. let the ipod classic handle the hard drives.
and i doubt the ipod touch is getting an upgrade anytime soon. the only reason the iphone got an upgrade in such a short amount of time was because of the complains it had against no 3G support.

The new firmware will most likely coincide with the new iPhone firmware, but I could see Apple waiting a while before upgrading the iTouch.

the iPod touch couldn't have a hard drive. The moving parts would fool the accelerometer
