How to jailbreak 2.0.2 in windows (worked for me!)

0) Make sure you have the original 2.0.1 ipsw (not jailbroken)
Located in:
a) C:\Documents and Settings\*USER HERE*\Application Data\Apple Computer\iTunes\iPhone Software Updates
or
b) C:\Users\**USERNAME**\AppData\Local\Apple\Apple Software Update

1) Update to 2.0.2 in itunes
2) Load QuickPWN, select your device, load the older firmware, then let it do it's thing.
3) Tada! You're ahead of the curve

will this jailbreak activate my phone also or will it still say incorrect sim

I'm sorry, i didn't realize this probably isn't a good idea with the iphone. I have a touch & it worked fine. Was able to install cydia apps & ahem- modify the mobile installation file. Someone said that wouldn't work b/c cydia has to have a 1,000 mb partition or something like that.

Oh, we're in the touch forum (i posted this in the iphone jailbreak forum as well)
I'll repeat, this worked just fine on my touch. Did it yesterday, installed cydia along with bossPref & ssch, plus "3rd party software".

I got a touch.

Installed 2.0.2 legit, loaded the latest quickpwn, followed instructions on the cmd line program it ran, and voila! i have 2.0.2 JBed.. !

only problem is that there arent enough apps XD

ok this process didn't work for me i did everything you said but quickpwn is not seeing the 2.0.1 firmware that i have sitting directly on my desktop

o sry forgot 2 mention i have a ipod touch that is updated to 2.0.2 and my itunes is 7.7

a new quickpwn came out, so use the 2.0.2 fw on the quickpwn also..!

simple guide-

1. put ur ipod into DFU
2. use itunes to shift+restore 2.0.2
3. cancel sync
4. run quickpwn latest
5. select 2.0.2 fw after selecting ipod touch
6. follow onscreen instructions
7. congrats on ur JBed iPod with Cydia AND Installer
