hidding icons?

i was wondering if there was a way to hide your icons so the dont show up on your springbaord with out using hidepod or any app like that...like maby change the permisions of the app (not the aplications folder but the name of the app inside the folder) folder or somthing? if any one knows how to do this plz tell me...oh and forgot to say that i needed help on this so i can use stack instead of having 4 screens of icons

i think if u delete the icon.png inside the app folder it will be hidden. not sure though so make a backup

incorrect, that will bring up a generic icon instead

instead, the easiest way would be as someone mentioned use poof or boss prefs, although you can edit a .plist file as well. things have changed so much since 1.0.0!!

ah yeah u're right.

well maybe if you put bossprefs on double tap home button.. and add all the applications on the dock of the bossprefs.app.. and then add bossprefs in there too.. ?

bit too risky though..

I suppose you can make the icon transparant, and use SMBPrefs to hide icon labels, or have I misunderstood?
