Next release will have a payload with options for apps to install.
One of them will be Cydia.

Just wanted to say WOW.. Perfect. I bought a brand new 1.1.4(OTB) phone from the USA and brought it back to Europe.

So this is what I did in exact details.

1) Placed phone in recovery mode by holding power and home for 25 seconds.
2) Started itunes
3) Connected usb cable
4) Accepted itunes prompt to restore since phone was in recovery
5) Waited till recovery complete
6) Disconnect iphone cable
7) Exit itunes
8) Start itunes
9) Connect iphone cable
10) Allow itunes find phone again which it prompts to activate on at&t
11) Exit itunes, & kill ituneshelper
12) Turn off iphone
12) Remove at&t sim
13) Place vodafone sim in iphone
14) start iphone (it complains about SIM )
15) Start iliberty+
16) Select all options on standard tab
17) Click go for it
18) Prompted to disconnect iphone so did so.
19) Reconnected and click OK
20) Watch iphone screen as it does the work
21) Done.

wifi works, edge works, youtube works, find my location works.

All worked like a absolute charm. I am so chuffed. I have a fully working iphone and not a single problem.

EDIT: Damn after about 10 minutes wifi has stopped working and I can not get it working again

AN EASY question for you guys.... Can I use iLiberty+ on a brand new 1.1.4 OTB or I must restore to 1.1.4 first?

Thanks in advance

Rick

You guys I am stuck.
I downloaded and installed the iLiberty, then update as well.

I can see all the options that I have, but the "Go For it" button is grey out.

I know I am complete newbie/idiot, but can you help me.

I run WinXP SP2, my iPhone is pluged to my PC via the USB cable. I did install my SIM, so next. Is their a booting process or what buttons I am suppose to press etc.

Do I have to have iTunes installed on my PC to have my iPhone recognized if yes iTunes 7.5 or 7.6?

TIA
George

Really sorry to be so stupid.

I can't believe it - I made it work.

If I made it anyone can - trust me.

Fantastic piece of software - Thank YOU.

---------------------------------------------

I am just having one slight problem. Here we have 8 digit phone numbers, but when I try to dial, it only accepts 7. When I dial 8 the iPhone changes the first 3 in to area code.

Any ideas what I can do?

TIA
George

Email doesn't work after iLiberty+

didn't worked for me. here's why:

my yahoo mail wasn't working on my 2.5c ziphone'd 1.1.4 it kept giving me a "Cannot Get Mail. The user name or password for "imap.apple.mail.yahoo.com" is incorrect"

I tried changing the password, reseting the phone, & creating a new mail account but nothing worked.

so i did a restore and then tested the mail and the email worked fine, no errors.

Then i used iliberty+ to jailbreak and put installer on.
The jailbreak went fine but, sure enough, I'm now getting the same error again.

Anybody know how I can fix this issue? It's been happening for about a day now. I've tried all I can think of!

I'd like to have a jailbroken phone like it was when i was on 1.1.2 and the email still worked.

Thanks

Send a message via MSN to rohit_baba
the mail crash fix on 1.1.4

hi
You can ssh into your phone with winscp and open up putty login then write

chown -R mobile:mobile /private/var/mobile

and then close putty close winscp and then restart your phone and then it mail.app should be working... btw doesnt need to be putty through winscp it could be the phone terminal or any terminal.

thanks

Hi rohit_baba,

I tried that line command in Term-vt100 twice and the mail still gives the same error message.

Would it be any different if I went in through putty and winscp as you suggested?

Thanks again!

Okay this may sound like a noob question, because it probably is.

I have a 8G 1.1.2 oob Jailbroken, I want to get it to 1.1.4 Jailbroken, do I restore my phone then upgrade to 1.1.4?

Or do I just leave everything and upgrade to 1.1.4, and Jailbreak?

I really just need all the steps in order on how to do it.
