My iPhone for some reason is not being noticed by my Mac. I have had my Mac and iphone for a long time and sync a gazillion times. I tried syncing today however and when I opened iTunes it didn't even detect that my iPhone was connected. I plugged it into my girlfriends PC and it was detected. I restored it totally on her PC and it is activated and everything. I tried it on my Mac again and still nothing. It's the latest iTunes version and I even have a backup from a few days ago saved under the advanced tab. But I can't sync the backup because the stupid thing won't detect my iPhone. It charges while plugged in and everything. Please someone help me.

uninstall itunes, reinstall itunes

is there anyway to save my iPhone backup file so that I don't lose it? I want to back my iPhone up to what it was before redoing it.
