Instructions: How to unlock your 3G iphone
I have seen many people stating they cna unlock iPhones on craigslist/ebay/youtube etc,.... Then i saw this video:
Showing a 3G iPhone that's unlocked, but they want you to pay for instructions....yeah right.
They are either
A) Downgrading the iPhone to an older unlockable version, or importing custom firmware
B) Scamming by using the 3G iPhone back and replacing it on the old first gen iPhone with the 2.0 icon tweak.
Opinions?

could be an original iphone for all we know.
notice the flat back (as opposed to a curved back)
Also, the headphone jack looks depressed not flush
and unless they bought a new dock the 3G does not fit in the old docks.
Im thinking big time scam.

exactly.
I have heard of some engineer that physically broke into the iphone to change it from a GSM to CDMA, but impossible via software hack. |

That is a first gen iphone with a replacement black back on it (the same as the one I have fitted) and it also has the protective skin fitted which makes it shiny. The headphone socket is recessed (big give away) and the back is flat as said previously...scam and hoax. A bit of fun unless someone actually falls for it and parts with money!
