When is the Unlock for 3G Iphone coming?
Its been a while.
I have been like everyone else been waiting for the unlock to come out.
I have until Aug 1st.
Otherwise i turn towards the darkside and sign up with AT&T.
i was pretty sure someone would come out with it by now.
besides no 3G with other carriers!!!
Anyone else feeling my pain?

i'm not from US and my country didn't sold iphone,
luckily my friend planning to go to US this august, and i want iphone 3g so bad
i know i need to unlock it (different from other regular gsm phone)
i want to ask is,
1. after i purchase the iphone, do i need to take the at&t contract and the cancel the contract, or i just buy the phone without buying the contract and unlock it with software from the webiste?
2 is there will be a problem with the unlocked one?

Dude wait for the iphone to release in your country.
First of your friend will not be able to purchase it.
They require valid ID, Credit Card from USA ONLY.
You are better off asking Apple how you can get one.
They do not sell the iphone without contracts.
And yes you could purchase one (If you manage), and cancel the contract (I Did)

Expect to pay $600-$700 for your phone, i guess you would get the contract free, and just don't buy a prepaid card after and toss the sim out...

If you cancel the contract, there will be a cancellation fee of 175.00 per line or you have to return the phone to avoid this fee. You must be a legal US resident to purchase the phone.
There's always ebay!!!
