I believe there is a way. I am going to research it and let you know. I thought I remember reading it somewhere. ....okay found something: It's kinda a roundabout way of doing it since IPhone only supports OUtlook on a PC but this is better than no solution?
Google Calendar Sync: Options
Google Calendar Sync offers three types of Sync Options between Google Calendar and Microsoft Outlook Calendar. Detailed descriptions of each Sync Option can be found below:
1-way: Google Calendar to Microsoft Outlook calendar
All events in your primary Google Calendar will be added to your default Microsoft Outlook calendar. During subsequent sync cycles, any updates made to events in Google Calendar will be reflected in Microsoft Outlook Calendar as well. But, keep in mind that any events created or modified in Microsoft Outlook Calendar won’t be reflected in Google Calendar.
**This way seems to work for you since you hate Outlook
***
Basically sync your rainlender to Google Calendar and set up Google Calendar to sync with Outlook (one way so you never have to open or touch Outlook
) and then Sync with iTunes.
I know it's kinda messed up but it's a solution

I just realized that if you add an event on your iPhone, it won't sync to your outlook/google calender/rainlender unless you have it as a 2way sync. If this is what you need check out the link (2Way)
