Calendar Syncing in Windows (Myth or Reality?)

So far, I haven't found any way to sync my iPhone with any calendar programs on windows. (Not counting Outlook. I hate that program so much.)

I'm currently using Rainlendar because it's lightweight, and is always open so I don't have to load up a bulky program to edit/view my calendar.

I've heard that there is a way to sync your iPhone with Google Calendars. Is this true? Because I can set Rainlendar up to sync with Google and use that as a sort of middle-man for my computer and iPhone.

you cant 'sync' it , but you can view it (calendar.google.com). and its formatted for the iphone in the safari browser. to date, i dont think there is any non-apple way to sync windows calendars.

I believe there is a way. I am going to research it and let you know. I thought I remember reading it somewhere. ....okay found something: It's kinda a roundabout way of doing it since IPhone only supports OUtlook on a PC but this is better than no solution?

Google Calendar Sync: Options
Google Calendar Sync offers three types of Sync Options between Google Calendar and Microsoft Outlook Calendar. Detailed descriptions of each Sync Option can be found below:

1-way: Google Calendar to Microsoft Outlook calendar
All events in your primary Google Calendar will be added to your default Microsoft Outlook calendar. During subsequent sync cycles, any updates made to events in Google Calendar will be reflected in Microsoft Outlook Calendar as well. But, keep in mind that any events created or modified in Microsoft Outlook Calendar won’t be reflected in Google Calendar.

**This way seems to work for you since you hate Outlook ***

Basically sync your rainlender to Google Calendar and set up Google Calendar to sync with Outlook (one way so you never have to open or touch Outlook ) and then Sync with iTunes.

I know it's kinda messed up but it's a solution

Here is the link to the Google Calendar article: http://www.google.com/support/calend...ntention=13946

I just realized that if you add an event on your iPhone, it won't sync to your outlook/google calender/rainlender unless you have it as a 2way sync. If this is what you need check out the link (2Way)
