Hey all, I know that Ipod Touch needs a wireless connection to download those 3rd party apps and such but the problem is that I do not own any wireless connections. Are there any way to make Ipod Touch connect to a cable modem or something? Please advise.

No I dont think so...

You might want to try and get a wireless router so you can download that stuff.
Or you can always go to a hotspot like Starbucks...

Nope, the easiest way would be to buy a wireless router and hook it up to your cable modem. Other than that the only other thing I can say is steal someone's connection

If you have a wired broadband internet connection and a laptop that has a WiFi card in, or a usb Wifi stick for your desktop you can make an ad hoc wireless network and share the cable broadband with your ipod touch.

Hi all, thanks for your replies! I understand that I need a wireless now but with regards to your post, Robcoffee, I think a PS3 has Wi-Fi right? Based on this info I got from a website,

" Communication: Ethernet (10BASE-T, 100BASE-TX, 1000BASE-T) x3 (input x 1 + output x 2)

Wi-Fi: IEEE 802.11 b/g

Bluetooth: Bluetooth 2.0 (EDR)"

As you can see the Wi-Fi there, I'm not sure if I'm able to hook my PS3 up to my cable modem and then stick my Ipod Touch USB into it and find some way to share connection. Is it possible?

I just bought a wireless router so I could use my iTouch. It's really really easy to set up, and you can get a pretty good quality one for about $40.00 at Best Buy or something. Don't waste your money on the Geek Squad installation or the really expensive routers. They all work about the same.

I have a question.

I have one router set up in my house and I have the choice of my computer or Xbox Live and I was wondering if I could set up another one and have both?

Does anyone know if this is possible thanks.
