This app is great =]
Heres The Instruments:::
- "Funky Drummer"; a drum set
- "Bassist";a bass gutair.
- "Grand Piano"; a full keyboard piano with two layers.
- "Scratch"'; a DJ scratch set.
- "Dance Loops"; a sort of techno-like board with 8 different keys.
- "audience"; litterally an audience with 3 different areas to choose from.
- "Rock Kit"; a rock kite with 12 different rock-type drum things.
- (my favorite) "12 bar blues"; I don't really know what instrument this is, unless 12 bar blues is really an instrument...Basically it has 14 different awesome sounds, which resemble an electrical guitar if you ask me. it also has 8 different beats and tempos.
Now heres some features:
When you come to the oppening screen, you see 4 options: Play instruments, Setup , Load/Save, And Help.
Inside Play instruments is where the actually "recording" happens.
There is a small bar loacated at the top of the screen, which has a record button, play button, setup button, Prev/Next button, Mute button, and solo button.
You press the record button to record the current instrument you have up.
You press the play button to play what you have recorded so far.
The setup button gets you back to the screen you first see when you open the application.
The Prev and Next buttons are used to navigate through instruments.
The mute button is used to mute the current instrument you have up.
The solo button is used to mute everyother instrument than the one you have up.
Kay so when you press the record button, you record an instrument, and then you navigate to another. Here you can press record, which will play what you have already recorded while you record your next instrument. At the end , Band will combine everything yo have recorded into a nice song =]
In Setup, you have three options, instrument, Recorder, and metronome.
In insturment, you can set the global volume, specific instrument volumes and "Pan", and the latencey, which is basically how fast or slow the song goes (ex. 8 notes).
In Recorder, You have earasing options, such as "erase lastnote", Erase last ten notes, erase current instrument, and erase whole song.
In metronome, you decide if you actually want the metrnome on or off, volume, tempo, and beats/bar.
When you press Load/Save button located at the screen you first see when you open the app., It brings you to a black screen indicating that Load/Save is not implemented in this version =/
So basically, this app. is great =]
Theres a few things it needs though:
- Load/Save implementation.
- Bug fix of crashing.
- Bug fix of muting out music sometimes that has been recorded.
- I'd like to see a layout in the app. where you can move around your music, like in garage band.
- Sound is a little buggy.
- On-press is a litte delayed at times.
- The iphone can get very very hott if you play this for a half hour or twenty minutes straight(this is natrual though)
- More music kits(i hope these are on the way! =])
- On the scratch pad, there is four buttons which producs a sounds....I'd like to see a free form scratch pad in witch you can just move the Record around.
- I'd also like to see a feture in which you can edit songs located in your ipod.
That's it =].
