apply smb themes on your pwn'd 2.0 with 'springroll'

hello everybody

I've been playing around with this for the last week or so and it's great.
I was bored with my pwn'd 2.0 iphone due to the lack of non app store apps. ONe of the things I missed most was being able to change themes on the phone. Now, you can transfer any smb themes you may have laying around on your pc/mac to your iphone and use the directions listed here: SpringRoll to apply them. It doesn't support the actual background wallpaper of the themes but it will change any icons that are n the theme and you can also use badges,slders,batterys...

There have been a couple of updates to this since I started using it and it's made it a lot simpler to use. It is in the works for being on the app store as well.

anyway, check it out... or not, it's up to you.

Hmm looks interesting, might give it a go, or wait till it hits the appstore

It will never be posted on the AppStore because its purpose violates the criteria for being posted on the AppStore.

my bad, I wrote that incorrectly. I meant that appstore application support is in the works for springroll. oops

anyway, it is pretty cool IMO. It's the easiest/quickest way to customize your pwn'd 2.0 iphone as of right now.

I would love to see any new things on cydia. I check it about every half hour to see if anything has popped up. Lol.. I just found this while browsing some other site earlier this week. I didnt create it or anything, I just wanted to pass it along to fellow MMI members because I thought it was cool

persichini,
What part did you have trouble on?
Did you create the springroll folder in var/root/ and put your smb themes into that folder.

Did you make sure you converted each of the themes by running the command "sr smbconv (themename)? If you didn't than chances are nothing changed because the smb themes are not compatible until you convert them.
Also make sure that you name the theme folders something simple, preferrably one word titles. Make sure the permission for the springroll folder is set to 0755 also.

Hope some of that helps.
