Ya that was written 3 months ago, but I got so excited and was torn by this delay. Ugh I removed installer from my phone. I'm not reinstalling it though. Pain in the ***.

So I'm assuming that the only differences with the 3G phone versus an older iphone updated to firmware 2.0 are 3G, GPS and the new look. Everything else is in the firmware?

Maybe new baseband? I hope the the iphone is jailbreak/unlockable

Correct. The difference will strictly be hardware. Software wise both phones will have the same. Some software will have limitation (GPS-based software for example), though it might be able to get around using the current locate me feature.

What i've read at apple store is that it will be iTunes 7.7 which will
be required for the 3g iPhone, so I suppose that is going to be the version of iTunes where we (I mean more experienced ppl) can get their hands on the new fw. What do you think? (oh and what's that SIM ejector tool?! are they going to include a paperclip or what?

Hello....

I have a unlocked/jailbroken fone... and was wondering what you do to get it back to stock state?? I suppose because its unlocked I cant restore it though itunes??? sorry if I sound blonde..lol but I shocked myself when I unlocked it... lolol

Hope someone can explain it to me.

^^^You could use Terminal to delete everything. Or MobileFinder works too. I would probably go with SSH though. You can easily delete an entire directory and even delete the ssh feature within its self.

i wish i read this earlier before i upgraded my unlocked iphone

*phone bricks and froze,cant restore with the new itunes, i mean u can but after the apple icon appears it will stay frozen. until the battery is fully dead.

but it did fix my greyd out wifi. but not unlocked.

rite now im waiting for new and updated unlocking tool

what are you talking about? There is nothing to upgrade. So whatever you have done is separate.

hmm...perhaps if apple gets enough complaints, like they did when they dropped the price $200 three months or so after the inital iphone release and gave everyone at least $100 store credit, they'll offer some sort of upgrade discount for those of us who bought the iphone when they came out.

not getting my hopes up lol, just a thought

Nahhh I think it'd all start for free. maybe 10-20 apps and games and then suddenly, they will take the magic wand and make everything else cost 2.99 or 4.99 or 5.99 maybe more....hehe.that a fact!!!!!!!!

In Installer Store :P
Many Developers will run away to earn some money..Not All Devs. there is ppl who really get to think about the "poor" ppl who were gifted an iphone and will never have money or credit card to buy things..For those Devs.Thank all Of You very much!!!
