this still isnt working, i highlight it and click <rename> and it only changes the name not the entire name + extension

ok here's what i did:
-imported the file to itunes music section
-converted mp3/wav file to AAC, then deleted the original file from itunes
-right click the aac file <show in internet explorer>
-(new window opens) right click the m4a file and choose <rename>
*it only remames the file name/title, NOT the extension

i dont get it

frig Apple and their damn monopoly on everything iphone!


EDIT: figured it out..had to modify a setting in teh folder options for windows

LOL! You had it set for " Hide known file extentions" didn't you.. That explains a lot

Hi all, im trying to make and add a few ringtones but for some reason they will only play in the music part of itunes. i have no idea why they will not go to the ringtone section???
I have tried my own and ones that DirtyDan has made.
I have version 7.4.3.1 itunes.

Anyone any ideas?
