    Dev Team Installing SSH 1.1.1 OSX

    This is a ssh installation guide to be followed after the 1.1.1 jailbreak guide.

    Contents

    Step One

    Download the SSH Install pack and unarchive it.

    Step Two

    Fire up terminal type

    cd
    

    followed by a space and drag the folder named "iPhone SSH Install for Mac" into your terminal window.



    Hit enter and now your command line will look like below



    Step Three

    Open up the "iPhone SSH Install for Mac" folder on your desktop and drag the "iPhoneMacSSHInstall.sh" into your terminal window.



    Your terminal command line will look as follows



    Step Four

    Hit enter, you will see the following screen



    Follow the instructions and restart your phone

    Step Five

    Once your phone has restarted hit enter. More stuff appears.



    once again restart your phone like the instructions say.

    Step Six

    Once your phone has restarted hit enter.



    Like the prompt says enter to remain jailbreaked and ctrl+c to to keep free from jail

    Step Seven

    Open up another terminal window type in

    ssh -l root iphone's ip
    

    followed by enter



    If your terminal screen looks like mine proceed to the next step. if it asks for a password skip to step 9.

    Step Eight

    Type in

    rm -f  ~/.ssh/known_hosts
    

    followed by enter



    go back to step seven if you had to use this nice step eight

    Step Nine

    If you're terminal asks you "Are you sure you want to continue connecting (yes/no)?" type in

    yes
    

    followed by enter

    When prompted for a password type in

    alpine
    

    followed by enter (yes the characters do not show up while typing in the password)



    Congrats, you have ssh'd into your 1.1.1 phone

    You may now continue to the installing BSD World guide
