    Unlock Activate Jailbreak 113 iPhone

    From ModMyiFone - Wiki

With Zibri's recent release of ZiPhone (win), jailbreaking, activating, and unlocking your iPhone is now easier than ever. It is literally less than 15 minutes to complete.

This guide is for OS X Leopard & Windows ONLY - Tiger support is coming soon.

This guide will get you to the most current version of iPhone firmware, 1.1.3, and allow to jailbreak, activate, and unlock, all in less than 15 minutes. It will work for nearly all situations, whatever your iPhone status is now.

A few things to mention first - if your iPhone came with either the 1.1.1 firmware or below, you will need to do an additional step. If your iPhone came with 1.1.2 or higher on it, all you have to do is step 1. Easy!

    Contents

    Before you do Anything

If your iPhone is already up and running, sync with iTunes to back up all your data. To do this, just connect to iTunes, and under the iPhone tab, press Sync.

Then press Restore in the iPhone tab of iTunes, and restore to 1.1.3.

When you're finished with this guide, you can connect your iPhone to iTunes, and choose to apply your backup to your newly 1.1.3-ified and unlocked/jailbroken/activated iPhone.

If your iPhone is not activated yet, restore it to 1.1.3 in iTunes so we can be sure you are on a fresh 1.1.3 install.

    Step 1

    Download ZiPhone

Download the ZiPhone GUI Edition for OS X or ZiPhone GUI Edition for Windows, GUI done by Francis of the DRP Dev Team. Double-click the .zip file if your browser doesn't open it automatically. You will see the ZiPhone icon on your desktop.

    Connect and Open

Make sure your iPhone is connected to your computer, and iTunes is quit. Double-click the ZiPhone icon. If you are in Leopard, you will get a warning message about the application being downloaded from the internet. Go ahead and click Open.

    Configure Options

You will then see the the ZiPhone app on your screen.

Tick the boxes of the actions you'd like to perform. A few notes about this:

DO NOT tick the "Unlock (and repair)" box if your iPhone has the 3.9 boot loader. If you're not sure, check your iPhone's serial number (on the back of the iPhone box). The 4th and 5th number are the week number your iPhone was produced in. (e.g., 7S726107... would be week 26). If that number is 45 or higher, you have the 4.6 BL (boot loader). If its 42 or lower, you have the 3.9 BL. If you're week 43 or 44, you will need to check further by installing HW Info from Installer (skip the unlock part in this guide) and see for sure.

If you have 3.9 BL and want to unlock, ONLY tick the Jailbreak and Activate boxes, and the continue.

Jailbreak - "Jailbreaking" installs Installer.app and gives you the ability to download and install 3rd party applications onto your iPhone.

Activate - "Activating" the iPhone means when you power it on, instead of just seeing a "Please connect to iTunes" screen, you can actually access the iPhone operating system. This does not unlock the iPhone. In other words, if you ONLY activate the iPhone, you cannot use the phone or SMS functions unless you have a valid AT&T account.

Unlock - "Unlocking" the iPhone removes the SIM restriction on your iPhone, so you can use your iPhone with any GSM carrier - just insert your SIM card after unlocking, and you're good to go! NOTE: Unlocking requires activation as well in order to use the iPhone.

SIM card - If you are not planning on using an AT&T SIM card, put the non-AT&T SIM card in now before doing any further steps. You can leave it in from now on. If you are using an AT&T SIM and account, you should have the AT&T SIM in now and for the rest of these steps.

AT&T users - If you are a valid AT&T user with an AT&T account, all you need to check is Jailbreak. You have no need to activate (iTunes will work just fine for that) or unlock (unless you want to for some reason).

    Run ZiPhone

Once you've selected which of the three options you'd like (you can do any mix of the 3 options, and can do multiple items at once), click Free your iPhone.

You will see the Processing: Freeing your iPhone... status screen, which should go for no longer than 5 minutes, but most likely less than that.

After the process has completed, the button will switch to say Done.

NOTE: There have been a few isolated incidents where users have to run this two or more times with the Jailbreak and Activate options checked in order for it to work. 98% of the users have not experienced this, but be aware if it doesn't work you can simply re-run it.

Congratulations! You're all done! If you had a 4.6 BL iPhone, you're now done!

If you have a 3.9 BL iPhone, and just jailbroke and activated it, but need to also unlock it, proceed to Step 2.

    Step 2

This step is only needed if you are running a jailbroken, activated 1.1.3 iPhone with BL 3.9 and want to unlock it.

    Make Sure

Assuming you already completed Step 1 of this guide, you should have a jailbroken, activated iPhone with Installer.app installed. The SIM card you want are wanting to use the iPhone with should already be in the iPhone. If it isn't, do so now.

Go ahead and tap Installer.app and launch the application.

    Launch Installer

On the iPhone home-screen, tap the blue Installer icon to launch Installer.

    Install anySIM

Tap the Install button on the bottom of the app.

Tap anySIM 1.1.3 from the list.

On the Package page, click Install on the top right of the screen.

    Then Click Install.

Do the same for the package called BSD Subsystem, which is under the System category.

    Run anySIM

When that completes, press the Home button on the iPhone to get back to the home screen. The iPhone will kick you out to the lock screen, go ahead and slide to unlock. You will see the icon for anySIM on your home screen now.

BEFORE YOU RUN ANYSIM, GO TO SETTINGS AND TURN AUTOLOCK TO NEVER (Settings>General>Auto-Lock>Never) AND TURN AIRPLANE MODE ON

Tap it to launch it. You will see the following screen. Slide to unlock. ;)

Scroll down on the next screen that pops up, and click the OK, Unlock My Phone red button. NOTE: It will NOT depress or change visually.

After a few seconds, you will see the progress bars come up. This will run about 5 minutes to complete. When you're done, anySIM will tell you you are unlocked. Congratulations! Thats it...

    Install BSD

If when you press "OK, Unlock My Phone" nothing happens you must install BSD for anySIM to work.

    You're all done!
