iDial is a novelty dialer, found on the SOSiPhone source. It features a rotary dialer that has access to the contacts, and it really does work. The exclusion of any sort of 'Favorites' or 'Visual Voicemail' really brings the app down, though. If those were included, this would surely be a hit. Personally, I like the app. It is very clean, and bug-free. It is also very fun to use this app to fool your friends/coworkers into believing that this is how the iPhone dials! iDimLight

iDimLight - a very useful app if you have something downloading in installer and therefore deactivated the autolock feature wich is big and want to check status from time to time on your display or if you do something that takes a while and just want to see how far its gone without draining the battery because of the full backlight. With this app you can determine a time (in seconds) to tell the phone how long the full backlight should be active when the Phone/Pod receives no action. After this you will have to restart your SpringBoard (the App asks you for that) to make it work. I Think its also a very useful program when you lookup something somewhere in the net or reading an email or stuff like that and you get unterbrochen by a friend who wants to talk to you, when you forget to push the powerbutton ...

Jokes

Jokes is a joke application developed by Big Boss, Bersntein and Big Davey. This application has several jokes distributed amongst six different categories namely Blonde, Feminist, One Liners, Women, iBauer and iNorris. Each of the categories consists of a number of joke. The great thing is that it even allows you to add own jokes. For this, make a folder ‘YourJokeSetName’ in /var/mobile/Media/Jokes/, then create a 30×30 png file for the joke set icon. You need to create a file jokes.txt with a joke in each line Jokes must be upto 4095 characters. You can have images too, just name the image too image01.png, image02.png and so on upto 20 images. These should be of dimensions 300×250. Also, if you want to share your joke set with others, contact at bigboss@thebigboss.org with Jokes Hosting as the subject. LED Banner

Ever since Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs) became so easy to manufacture, they have officially entered modern society, lighting everything from USB powered aquariums to homemade lightsabers, but what is all the rage these days are those scrolling LED marquee signs.  Once people saw them at gas stations advertising the lottery jackpot, they ended up becoming programmable geek-toys.  Its not surprising that this fad has leaked into the world of 3rd party iphone/ ipod touch applications. App designer Masayuki Akamatsu has brought the LED sign to our fingertips with his app called LED Banner. Upon tapping the screen, a keyboard and option box will appear. This allows you to edit the text that displays on the scrolling sign to an infinite length.  By selecting ok, you will soon see your written text scrolling across a 20/30 Led grid. At first glance, the Sinewave native app for the iphone\ ipod touch may seem like a simple, standard issue audio oscillator. Upon closer inspection, one realizes it is a simple audio oscillator. Though this may be rather disappointing to the 3rd party app connoisseur, it is a joyous moment for one with a musical spirit. Though often not associated with the word “instrument,” an audio oscillator produces a simple tone, and allows you to change the frequency (otherwise known as pitch) of a sound wave. This app does not attempt to elaborate on this simple idea, but that is no flaw of design. The graphic interface is basic, but justly so. Sketches

Sketches is a great freehanded drawing program.  It allows one to capture thoughts and expressions that aren't always as easily done with regular text.  It has loads of great uses from being able to draw pictures for fun and entertainment to jotting down ideas, sketches is a must have for any iPhone user.  A cool feature is to use a picture as a background; allows for great jokes as you can add messages or draw funny things on people's faces. Lots of options exist within the program: 24 colors, variable line width, 6 shapes, and 3 backgrounds.  Exporting your handiwork is a snap and can be sent as an email attachment or saved to your picture or even upload to twitter!  Fabulous ways to undo: simple undo for previous action, press garbage can to start all over or the extremely fun shake the iPhone action will erase everything just like the ...

Pianist 2.0 builds on the initial Pianist app, a great piano app with a bunch of cool features, including: A complete four octave keyboard. Multi-touch.
